Good article here on Hamilton's skills:

The other thread got closed for some reason but anyway, reflexes and fitness are a contributing factor - it was regarded that Mansell's upper body strength and reflexes was why he could drive the way could, but he did that throughout his race career.

But the other main skill is that of knowing how to manipulate a car on the limit, sensing and feeling and understanding what the correct required inputs are. Reflexes, physical fitness coupled but know exactly which steering angle to use, know when and much pedal travel for brake and throttle.

All comes down to the feel of the car, really. And Hamilton has a lot of it. I think hes going to win a few championships.

I'd like to see how he goes on other wet grands prix as well, as I get the feeling he won't make his Euro GP mistake again.

A very good article that goes hand in hand with what I was saying...but it does not belong in the race/genectic thread

but maybe the one about being Lewis being dirty at the start

All boils down to having a good car, really.
If the car isn't stable under braking than you can't pull it of no matter the reflexes and the fitness and other skills.
