The other thread got closed for some reason but anyway, reflexes and fitness are a contributing factor - it was regarded that Mansell's upper body strength and reflexes was why he could drive the way could, but he did that throughout his race career.
But the other main skill is that of knowing how to manipulate a car on the limit, sensing and feeling and understanding what the correct required inputs are. Reflexes, physical fitness coupled but know exactly which steering angle to use, know when and much pedal travel for brake and throttle.
