Hi all,

Doesn't the entry-list close today?

If you find the entry-list, please add it here.

Interesting to see if Kronos and Duval found the money.

Pretty expected list indeed. Group N will be interesting to follow, Flodin, Hänninen, van den Heuvel, Aigner, Brynildsen and Rui Madeira are all giving their best for a great show.

23 WRC cars. That's great.

Gareth Jones is back in a Focus WRC after he had to sit our Germany.

And a whale in the hands of Zurita.

And no less than 13 Focus WRC cars!!!! What would we do without Ford in WRC!

Luis Perez Companc and Federico Villagra (both from Munchi's Ford WRT) were not supposed to compete in the RACC.. There was not a tarmac event in their schedule.

Also, I didn't know that Boland is gonna take part of this rally. Overall, it's 22 WRCars :D

What is Munchi's Ford WRT doing there? They had no plans for a tarmac event.

Well, Catalunya is a sunny, hot country. They will try to sell some Munchis Ice-Creams.

23. There is a Peugeot 307 WRC lower in the list

There are 24, there is a Subaru Impreza just below the Pegout 307 in the list that is an A8 car.

Gareth MacHale, Felice Ré and Kristian Poulsen are missing from the entry, they were supposed to start in Catalunya in WRCars. Anyway, pretty good entry, some surprises in there as well. Wilks is missing too, but I think he has a clashing British Championship round on the rally weekend...

13 Ford Focus WRC cars in one event is probably a record. There were 11 in Finland.

A8 is not necessarily WRC.

Since 2003 all Subarus in A8 are WRC, no other group A version homologated. Or, it's even older car.

Munchi's plans from the beginning this season this rally.

This will be a record and probaly in Ireland too, but maybe Subaru win that record.

How long do homologations last for?
Why is that and the 307 not running with the other WRC cars, something to do with hoimoligation?

The car in question is a Group N WRX STi older than 2003, that has been upgraded to Group A spec, making it so called "N+" car. You see these cars (both Lancer's and Impreza's) in almost all rallies. So the car is not WRC.

It has nothing to do with homologation, but Zurita is starting behind the Junior WRC drivers because he doesn't have FIA 2 seed. You need a FIA 1 or 2 seed to start before the 3 seeded JWRC-drivers. The seed is not tied to car type but to the driver, so even if you are driving a WRCar it is possible to get start number 61+.

Would a Group N+ car be homoligated for the PWRC?

How do driver get a FIA 1 or 2 seed?

Last year Zurita ran with a Cordoba WRC, and he started also behind the JRC, so as WRCRR says is a question of seeds. But don't expect so much from him

I think, if there's no retirements on friday, I will have it fun on saturday and sunday!! 23 WRC, I'm not sure if my 3Gb of photos will be enough....

Entry List approved by FIA is published

http://www.rallyracc.com/2007/descargas/inscritos_2007.pdf

About Zurita:

I think he is a good driver (is the reining catalan champion with the Cordoba WRC), he improved much its driving after Catalunya 2006 when Dani Sola helped him about how to drive a WRC. Then, In appreaciation of his collaboration, Jordi Zurita supports Dani Sola with an Sponsorship of his company (Llars).

I think that he will be faster than a lot of P2 drivers

I didn't know that Solà helped to improve his driving to Zurita, and then came his sponsoring on the Civic R3 in the IRC and the Lancer in the Spanish Gravel Championship. Also, Solà helped to improve his driving to Alex Crivillé, also with a Cordoba WRC.

Hope that here, in Catalonia, can give a great goodbye to Marcus

What is Munchi's Ford WRT doing there? They had no plans for a tarmac event.

Did they not miss one or two of their planned rounds earlier in the year when the brother of the Perez Compancs was badly injured in a circuit race.. Guess this is one of the replacements...
