Rumor: Helio Castroneves

According to Seattlepi.com one of the new contestants for next season's "DANCING WITH THE STARS" is Penske I R L driver Helio Castroneves.

The story states that the lineup will be confirmed on Good Morning America on Wed, Aug 29.

Is this good exposure for the IRL ? Good exposure for Helio ? I'm sure he can Tango and Cha Cha .

Helio is an awesome character and one of the really good guys in this series. I hope he wins it all.

Wow, that would be very cool. Talk about a personality. Helio has one of the best. It can't hurt the status of open wheel, that's for sure.

Helio will be a natural. The guy loves to smile and joke around, yet he is a driven guy. He better be because I think that dance stuff is hard work.

Good publicity for the IRL...proving that you can think outside of the box and get it RIGHT....

ABC announced this morning, the lineup for the next season of "Dancing with the Stars."

The new season starts September 24 at 8pm ET.

I think this is great publicity for the Helio and the League. They do extensive profiles on each contestant during every show. Helio is a great ambassador for the IRL and open wheel. He is an immediately likable guy and I think he will have a huge following of non-race fans on the show with the potential of turning them into interested individuals, if not full fledged IRL fans.

GO HELIO !!!! I hope he goes far in the show and maybe win it all like Emmet Smith.
