We had hot and muggy plus rain for the IRL race -- you'd like that better? I've seen at least 2 funnel clouds move through MIS on race weekends....

Currently, it is raining at MIS. Looking at the radar, the rain stretches all the way back over lake Michigan, over Wisconsin and Minnesota, into South Dakota.

The weather calls for "Definite Rain Showers" until after the scheduled start time, changing to "likely" showers until "definite" showers around dark. There is a 60% chance of rain on Monday.

And just when my shoes were drying out from the IRL race 2 weeks ago at MIS...

The rain delayed race from yesterday was rescheduled for 12:00 PM today.
Morning rain showers stopped by the start time, track drying continues .....
NASCAR is hopeful that at least 1/2 of the race can be run before the rain returns. :eek:

It's 3:15 local time. NASCAR almost had the track dry, and the pit boxes were out, but showers are building in again. Right now we've got a mist... like a very heavy fog.
