The wearing of a head restraint approved
by the FIA, e.g. HANS®, will be
mandatory for all drivers and co-drivers
in events as follows:

•In all Motorsport Ireland (MI) National
and International Stage Rally events:
from 1.1.09.

• In all FIA championships, trophies,
cups and challenges: from 1.1.08.

• In all events entered on the FIA
International Sporting Calendar: from
1.1.09.

Thats going to drive the cost up again for all competitors.. There should be some compensation!! ;)

I think it is comendable of MI to give enough notice, and to allow people to plan. Sure its about £1000, with everything but how many people would consider spending £1000 on testing, rolling roads, etc. You have 1 life.
