[LARAC] Rally Aukštaitija 2007

In August 24-25 will be rally Aukštaitija 2007.This is 4th round of Lithuania open autorally championship,6th round of Latvia ralyy championship,last round of Baltic rally cup and also 4th round of North Europe zone rally championship.
Race will be on 9 gravel stages (107,75 km) and on 2 asphalt stages (6 km).Full stages lenght is 113,75 km.

One new thing will be on this rally: in cars will be aded locktracker system and every rallyfan who can't watch rally live will be able to see cars on map at this site http://www.locktracker.lt Info about car will be updated every one minute.Anybodie knows something more about this system?
In rally will start 51 AWD car so it will be nice show and our rouds will be dead...

not good, rally wins Latvian drivers... yep we have no S2000, but i think GrN will beet S2000 not hard... our tracks i think is too fast for S2000.. is this real that Subaru makes S2000 impreza for 2008 IRC championship??

So, rally is finished.Before it in Lithuania championship(LARA&#268 ;) Deividas Jocius (MLE 9 N4) was in first place overall.Behind him,after unlucky round in Kelmė (rally Saulė 2007) was Rokas Lipeikis(MLE 8 A8) and third was Vytautas Švedas(MLE 9 N4).
In Aukštaitija rally 2007 first three stages was at night.First after this was Lipeikis and right behind him was Jocius+0,00,3,third was Švedas +0,04,9.
In second day rally has been moved to the light.In fourth stage fastest was Jocius,but in fifth stage he was 9th and in 6th he finished 3rd.So before service park he was in first place.Second was Maris Neikšans (Latvian championship) and third was Martinš Būčin&#353 ;( Latvian championship).Rokas Lipeikis was far in Fourth place with 12 seconds behind Jocius.Vytautas Švedas was very slow because of gearbox damage.Because of his problem in 3rd place (of Lithuania championship) went young gun Dominykas Butvilas(Impreza WRX STi spec-c)+01,01,5 min.
After service park and regrouping 5 stages must to go.7th stage and... big Jocius role.Car was in water up wheels,but everything is fine.Spectators saved racers.After that Rokas Lipeikis was safe in first place(LARA&#268 ;) ahead Audrius Gimžauskas(MLE 9 N4)+01,22,9min. Because Rokas Lipeikis had a technical problems with engine,guys from Latvia championship was on teh top.Four stages to go.For Lipeikis was no reason to push hard.Must to save Lancer :) and position.After to asphalt/gravel stages and two stages in Utena city,Evaldas Čirba(MLE 9 N4) made a big speed and went up to second place of LARAČ,third left Gimžauskas and fourth was Butvilas.And after so many retirements of Lithuanian drivers,firts place in rally took Maris Neikšans (MLE9 N4),second was Martinš Būčinš (MLE 9 N4) and third left Rokas Lipeikis.
Next LARAČ event will be right after month rally "Around Lithuania".

Could you tell more about Vytautas Svedas. He`s been twice in NORF and this year he did some good stage times, also his driving is very entertaining for spectators.

Yes,he is young and fast driver with very good and experienced co-driver Žilvinas Sakalauskas.His driving style is very,very nice to us,but he is young and sometimes he driving faster than he can.He is in fight to top places in Lithuanian championship since 2004 year season when he bought MLE 7 N4.First win for him in Lithuania was in rally "Kauno ruduo 2006".In this season he had technical problems in two rallies,in one rally vey bad jump and in two rallies second place.He is having many starts outside of Lithuania in countries around,but I think that he must to run in JWRC or smth.

Vytautas have many fans, because his driving style is very impresive for spectators.. i think he should go in PWRC.. he driving N4 group cars 3 years, he feel the car and if he go in JWRC, he need feel FWD car, and for that need time.. in Neste Finland rally the car have technical problems.. in 2006 Finland he crashed after big jump...
