Can't say I'm surprised, but it was the only true startup team, in Nascar's most competitive year.

I don't know if I have much faith in Red Bull. It seems like they're trying to run the NASCAR team like they would an european race team.

Vickers has been fast when in the race. He might have been the brightest Toyota of the bunch in race trim.

Yeah, because they've had so much sucess with their European race teams.

According to Jayski (from SpeedTV)

Given the team’s struggles in 2007, Red Bull has been rumored to be changing to Chevrolets (http://www.speedtv.com/articles/nascar/nextel/39267/#) next season

Well if gibbs is moving over to toyota then there would be a spot for some major factory backing open and Red Bull aint short of a penny or two.

Red Bull has lots of money and not a lot of patience. The problem is they started from nothing, and Gaunt, despite being a good guy and somewhat experienced had to start from scratch, and as it has been shown, no Toyota team is really excelling. Bill Davis Racing has been their top team really and even with that, they have struggled, and they have been around the business for a lot of years. I think Red Bull is proving once again that lots of money doesn't buy you success. Gaunt is the fall guy but I suspect he knew that going in....
