Thank God its the shortest day and its downhill all the way to 21st June. I know that the worst of the winter is still ahead of us but at least if its slowly getting brighter, you can feel a bit brighter.

It hasn`t even got cold here yet. I`m sure the new year will bring some unpleasant weather, roll on the summer.

Same here. Am I really to believe that it will be -3 tonight? If so that's the coldest day so far this winter. Bring it on! I'm tired of this mild winter. I didn't come here for this. I came to see frozen roads and snowfall :hot:

Perhaps you went to thew wrong country then, UKlandia isn't really known as a winter wonderland ;)
Sun went below horizon an hour ago , but it still lights up the clouds making a gorgeus sunset, it's almost as the clouds are on fire, and me without a camera. :(

Yes well my reasons for moving to this hemisphere weren't to do with the weather :p
One day I'll visit Finland in the winter but not before I get used to the pussy little wimpy winters we have here in Wales.

It's lovely here, just a tad foggy. The only drawback is I'm not feeling the remotest bit Christmassy as it feels like October.

We look forward to the shortest day, then it doesn't seem to get any lighter until February after all that longing :mark:
-5 here last night, the coldest so far by loads. Fog that's either ten yard visibilty or just wafty stuff you don't notice. Yep, winter is here but it still doesn't feel wintery until the shortest day is gone.

Longest day of hte year here. I couldn't believe that it was 30 degrees when I got up, and we had to skip out bike ride this morning. We're looking forward to the winter, when it will be air conditioned outside again. :)

A pretty good day it was. I successfully presented my book. This time of year is always good for me. :)
