Interesting, Rob are you making it a 5 car team, I thought the 59 number was yours?

"subject to finances being in place"
So nothing new at all then really. The two cars will run as last year if they can find any money.

There's nothing so encouraging as an optimist.

I was wondering that also. I know Shane Lynch does a lot of racing (mainly because he can afford it!), might bring a few people in to watch the series though :P

Darlings darlings... calm ye down! Aye!
Nobody has nicked my ride.
Last season, I was trying by little bits off trying to get (a) rookie trained, and (b) to raise the £SD to purchase a set of wheels. With the latter becoming more difficult, the cunning plan was to accomplish (a) and then use Tony's car for Ovalfest, and the final round - hence it being numbered up for me. I'm not sure that Lightning McQueen would approve of that shade of Odinge.... but it was quite fetching.
Since then, things have happened. I have Mark Procters car now, all mine!!! Mine all mine!! Oh yes. I've got a few more bits to fetch down from Fast-Tec towers in Sunny Yorkshire, but effectively, with a coat of paint to my liking, it's ready to rock!
So, yes, it's possible that Duane may be running a 5 car outfit, or at least helping me and my guys get to grips with running the car. It's also entirely possible that I may be using the skilled hands of Mark's old crew chief, Adam, subject to me and Adam talking about it!!
Bottom line....
I JUST CAN'T WAIT!!! Wooo hooo!
There will be a proper formal official press release sometime, when I sit down and create a masterly work of fiction, suitable for distribution to the press, etc..
Rob.

The news item from the link to the team networking site says that Revolution shall be running a 4 car team, there is no mention of Mike Luck. Any ideas what Mike's plans are?

Great news Rob, that was one fast car on its day, hope it is the same for you!

All I have to do is keep it out of the wall.
That's what my distant cousin, and the other Compton in a 59 car (NASCAR Busch), told me. (though he'll be doing CT's and giving our ol' mate Mickel someone to chase in 2007!)
I've been told that Mark's car was a peach to drive, not just by Mark!!

Welcome back Lee, Duncan & all at Team Networking, and welcome to Rob. The series wouldn't be the same without the #12 car being around (in whatever colour/number it appears as next year). Like Dave said, Proccy certainly could pedal it quick enough.
Keep the good news coming guys...

Is this right? Your really related to him? How much would you have to beg him to come over here and do a one off race during an off weekend (which the trucks have loads of!) and experience something other than major US oval racing. Might draw in a few people, anyway, the people who maybe come once or twice a year but not every week!!!

Distant - well, he's about 3-4000miles away.....
We (well my wife) traced our family back many generations, to the late 1400's. There were quite a few of my ancesters (direct line back from me) that emigrated to the 'states over the centuries.
Stacy's mother said that they were interested in tracing their family roots, but with the pressured of the tour, there wasn't time for that sort of thing.
If he's related, it's probably sooooooo far down the line... Still it's good PR!!
Strange how he ran the 59 (up to this year) and I've ran with 59 for over 15 years!! Spoooky. wooo.
Even if there's a real family link, he'd still have to do the rookie training, just like Steve Grissom did before him!!
Thanks to everyone for their support.
Rob.

Lee came back with a good drive ,and he is comfirmed as a REVOLUTION DRIVER FOR NEXT YEAR. He has gone to revolution direct and not with team networking. I can tell you that his budget is all inplace and is close to purchasing a car as well. From a close friend of Lee. Great news and will be there 2007 can not wait.

Excellent news for Lee and Revolution. I must say he was a safe pair of hands for my number last year!!!
Though there is a slight possibility that I may not actually run 59 for the first time in 16 years.... sponsorship related....
