Alex Zanardi (yes a CART driver, but CART was indycars) was the first to do burnout-doughnuts as a celebration, Helio Castroneves, the first to climb a fence, and IRL was the first to present a "commercial-free race"(side by side). NASCAR which is the most over exposed, overrated, unoriginal form of racing, claims to be so innovative, as TNT claims to have created this "wide-open" coverage. Take a note from the now defunct "CART" series.......races in Mexico and Canada , non american drivers( which with Montoya's success will open the flood gates), and suing potential sponsors for simply wanting to be involved will lead your NASCRAP audience to other interests. watch the IRL or F1 , so you can see what the France family will steal next....like rear wings and front splitters. :imubash:

get a life, who gives a crap

go back to your dying series

so what they are gonna steal all the F1 technology, then throw in some P to P races like the WRC, then run a drag race Quarter mile to steal the NHRA.

Nascar didn't tell the drivers, ohh, start doing burnouts because we got to steal a victory celebration.

As Darrell Waltrip said in 2001, the victory celebrations were a tribute to the Z-Man after his horrifying crash and the nasty injuries. Think of the Kulwicki laps run after his death, and the Zanardi Doughnuts run after his injuries. These celebrations should be called what they are!

NASCAR drivers have often mimicked fallen drivers' moves as ways to celebrate and honor people. There are things more important in life than just racing -- there are friends and family, and often people you'd like to dedicate wins because of what they've done.

(sarcasm) don't forget that Carl Edwards has said that he took the backflip from Tyler Walker when he was in the World of Outlaws.

This (AGAIN) is why Racefanstan needs to be a moderator here...

if any of us were moderators, this crap would've already been pulled

Yeah, the moderation on this board is ****... well, not ****, non-existant. The F1 board on this site is patrolled like Nazis, and the NASCAR board has no moderator.

Actually the first "commercial free" race was the 2000 (or 1999) edition of the Coca-Cola 600 on TBS.

you guys are acting like a bunch of sucks. Like his argument had merit? Thin skins you guys have and I don't know why. Idiots like Anton are not worth worrying about. You guys can proclaim drill him as a no mind and move on. The fact he is full of crap shouldn't be a deterrent to anything. You don't need goof balls banned.....and f1's moddies are NAZI's..and the board is getting dull...
