Well it seems that Alonso is really on edge about Hamiltons performance (not that this is news to us),
It always seems that Lewis is doing all the diplomatic talking to keep the peace. I would love to hear Fernandos side of this.
Very interesting read.
I'm beginning to think this Hamilton kid just might be the real deal.

Typical Ron Dennis move.
First they reduce the interview times for they drivers.
Now they are allowed to talk about each other only when both are there, I can already imagine the hilarious answers they will have to give when alone facing the press.
So, how much freedom do they still have at the McLaren prison these days?
Do they have to ask for permission before going to the toilet?! :laugh:

I doubted that pact has ever been exist, it's more about etiquette not to tell others everything about the team. No restriction to talk about teammate but the talk should be made in the right manner.
Such etiquette isn't only confining driver from talking about the team and teammate, but more reflects the whole attitude of the driver on giving opinion all about F1.

I would love to hear Fernandos side of this.
His side is simple; there's no any pact of silence. Every driver can speak about anything, and he'll continue doing it.
"I'll speak about Hamilton, he'll speak about me, and we'll speak allways with respect as we're teammates. What I read about pact of silence is quite funny".
In fact he speaks about some other things (he's no thinking of leaving McLaren, he thinks both drivers are treated equally, he's confident about the nest GP's.

So, why is Alonso denying such a pact?
If it would be something decided between both drivers, it doesn't make any sense denying at the first occasion one of them speaks in public.
With or wirhout this misterious pact, journalists will keep manipulating what they say. And I don't really care, as where I want them to speak is on the track.

Frankly, I don't care if it is Ron Dennis, or the drivers, who have decided or not. This whole story is all part of the media storm surrounding a winning team that contains a WDC and a rookie. What is coming out of the media is then being used as ammunition against Dennis, or Alonso, or Hamilton - you take your pick.
I'll just continue to enjoy what we're seeing on track.

I think its something you have to put up with if you choose a profession that puts you in the public eye. The media want to turn it into a soap opera, and why not? Top F1 drivers are some of the highest paid soap stars out there!
I think they all have to just take it on the chin. Anyone who can't should get out and do a proper job ;)
