This track is fast low down force and and a combo between a street course and a full race track. Good drivers will shine on this track and this should be a barn burner of a race. So pick you favorite driver and stand by - It will be good!!

Who's your favorite than?

I pick Alonso, nothing new here, but I expect Raikkonen to shine in Canada. I have my doubsts about the brilliance of the race, not because of the circuit but because of the aero and dirt air conflict.

I expect lots of marbles, and an inversely proportional chance of an ontrack pass. Pretty good circuit and it could go to anyone (as in, polesitter).

I hope the track at the hairpin is well fixed (not like last year).

And I guess half a dozen retirements (as usual), maybe a copule in the wall.

I'm expecting a good race.

Harder tyres so we won't see the problems we had last year with tyres, compromising medium-low downforce settings, some good overtaking spots.

Hard to pick a winner. McLaren has better mechanical grip and Ferrari has better aero. Only thing I'm certain of is Lewis will be extremely quick in practice, Q1 and Q2. He's the best driver out there driving a car in slippery/low grip conditions.

Good drivers will be able to shine on any track. This is BS that some tracks are "drivers" tracks and others arent. They all are. Some just suit some drivers more than others.

:D This may be Lewis's opportunity to get his first win !!!

;) Montreal is a very good high speed track with HEAVY braking... seems like it shoud suit him !!!

I tend to agree. For example Fisichella is a well-known street circuits specialist, but I haven't noticed anyone suggesting that he is a great driver just because he drives well on those so-called drivers' circuits. He struggles on tracks like Imola and Magny-Cours - those have never got the reputation of being "drivers' circuits".

I put a wager on Kimi, the odds being 4.30.

I really do think/hope that this is going to be his comeback.

Something . . . I can't quite put my finger on it . . . makes me think . . . Ralf will be . . . in Q3 this weekend; at the very least he'll be quicker than Jarno. :p

Good lord, I guess even having his job on the line has failed to inspire the German. Can I take back what I said? P19 with 7 minutes to go in P2.

Go Fish!

It sounds like Montagny can be on the wheel for his homeland GP if things continue like this.

And Trulli achieved a miracle getting 18th place. :s

Man, those Toyotas su*k big time and replacing Ralf won't change anything.

It will save Toyota $400,000 every week.

Yep, that's pretty much the only thing it will do. The Toyota sucks. But Toyota giving Ralf $10 million more than his team mate (who he doesn't seem to be outperforming at all) seems like a sad reflection of one of the many things wrong with the Management of the Toyota team, given that they often seem to be trundling out of the points, and don't seem to be improving at all.

Maybe a driver that gives good feed back instead of counting their money would help!
Obviously Ralf and Jarno really ain't cutting it as car developers!

The "problem" is that Ralf's contract ends at the end of this year and Toyota has to pay that salary regardless of whether he is racing or not. Remember, Toyota sacked Salo and had to pay him the 2003 salary too.

Looks like I'm wrong again!

I thought Lewis would top the timesheets. Looks like Alonso is fully exploiting the McLaren.
