some feedback please...

hi guys

sorry i dunno if this is strictly world rally championship, but i didn't know where else to post it.

i was just looking for some feedback on these pictures i've done - from people who know rally and can be critical of anything that could be better

(i think there are about 10 or 11 there)

p.s the second picture (it's of Possum Bourne)comes out a little bit dark and distrorted onscreen because its just under 1.5m by 1metre in real life.

Nice work anstis! Always love drawings of past rallycars :up: and are always welcome to view on this forum.

To be a bit critical. Some of them seem to be a little bit out if it's real shape, so maybe something to improve on. Otherwise, they are great, Rod Millen's Mazda is your best IMO.

Very nice... I take it they are from actual photos?...for more impact you could try a bit less detail in the surroundings to make the car the main focal point and maybe some blurring in certain pics of the objects close to the car to convey that impression of speed.

Also.. if you are familiar with the term "perspective" in Art.. you could experiment with that. IMO prints/pics/drawings often look better if taken/photographed/drawn from a very low viewpoint, and often through a "fish eye" lens if you know what I mean..a good trick all the decent car mags do well.

Very good though... buy yourself a decent writting/drawing Tablet, you could then add many effects/colour using any of the top programs on your pc its then easily transfered to print. You could make good money from this.

Zico - they are not from photos. i have a hard time of finding exactly the right photo for what i want to do. but i do get reference photos for the cars and backgrounds (so the livery's etc are right) then just slap it together how i want it.

Pretty good work. I like how you have consentrated not only on car but the backround as well. :up: It's not so easy to catch the feeling of speed with pencil but you did it.
