MrJan
26th October 2009, 15:15
All too often.

Donney
26th October 2009, 16:58
Especially if you have a job....

MrJan
26th October 2009, 17:01
Therein lies the rub.

Donney
26th October 2009, 19:38
Rub a dub.

MrJan

27th October 2009, 14:49

Donney
27th October 2009, 15:45

MrJan
27th October 2009, 16:30

djarumdudley
27th October 2009, 21:54
time for a frosty beverage and some last word

MrJan
28th October 2009, 00:13
No frosty beverage for me, trying to cut back on such nicities

djarumdudley
28th October 2009, 03:09

MrJan
28th October 2009, 09:09

MrJan
28th October 2009, 15:15

Donney
28th October 2009, 15:41

MrJan
28th October 2009, 16:51
Nowt, 'ay up, tut mines, tut whippet, tut gravy tut.

Donney
28th October 2009, 16:56

MrJan
28th October 2009, 17:15
That's what she said.

Donney
28th October 2009, 17:59
I bet she did... :dozey:

MrJan
28th October 2009, 18:01

schmenke
28th October 2009, 19:05
Miguel is dreaming again...

MrJan
28th October 2009, 19:06
I didn't say it was a good 'wow' ;)

Curling one off LW.

djarumdudley
29th October 2009, 01:09
World Series and last word, a winning combo

Rollo
29th October 2009, 03:46
It's hardly a "world series" if most of the world isn't invited.

djarumdudley
29th October 2009, 04:20
clearly you've confused something with the airing of the World Series of Poker.

MrJan
29th October 2009, 09:07
Poker shouldn't have a world series, it should only be for drunk people

Donney
29th October 2009, 13:02
And cigar smokers...

MrJan
29th October 2009, 13:34
Natch

schmenke
29th October 2009, 16:48
Poker should not be aired on television :mark:

MrJan
29th October 2009, 19:30
pooing

schmenke
29th October 2009, 19:37
Pooing can be enjoyable, but not on t.v.

Donney
29th October 2009, 20:06
I have to agree.

MrJan
29th October 2009, 21:15
I hope I*'m not on TV having a poo, that would be weird

schmenke
29th October 2009, 21:31
Have you checked Google street view lately...?

MrJan
29th October 2009, 21:37
Last time I did neither Exeter nor my arse were on it :D

schmenke
29th October 2009, 23:10
Good thing... :erm:

Rollo
30th October 2009, 01:07
Why should it be?

Exeter has such attractions as The House That Moved, The Riddles, and The Hub which is not far from Sainsburys.

Ok, so it's slightly better appointed than say... Craggy Island, but it's less interesting. Craggy Island has the Spider Baby, which is a baby with the body of a spider, and the head of a spider and you know it's a spider baby and not just a spider because it's in a pram.

MrJan
30th October 2009, 09:16
Best of all we have a league 1 football team :D

Donney
30th October 2009, 12:42
You do?

MrJan
30th October 2009, 14:07
At the minute we do, 12 months time and we might not

Donney
30th October 2009, 19:50
The LW shares your concern...

MrJan
30th October 2009, 22:04
The LW is out on the razzz

schmenke
30th October 2009, 23:05
The LW is looking forward to a weekend in the office with schmenke.

:mark:

MrJan
30th October 2009, 23:18
Never, the LW is going out on the piss now, watching Annie Mac and then sleeping a bit before driving back to Exeter to watch the football.

djarumdudley
31st October 2009, 01:22
actually the last word is limbering up for 18 holes

MrJan
31st October 2009, 06:12
Drinking the biggest cup of tea ever LW

Donney
31st October 2009, 14:02
The LW is not interested in breaking records.

MrJan
31st October 2009, 20:48
The LW is considering that perhaps there is such a thing as 'too much tea'. When you need to have a break half way through a cup just so you can be sick there is probably a message to be heard ;)

djarumdudley
2nd November 2009, 02:30
the last word is done with daylight savings time

Rollo
2nd November 2009, 04:56
The LW is considering that perhaps there is such a thing as 'too much tea'. When you need to have a break half way through a cup just so you can be sick there is probably a message to be heard ;)

Yah-boo sucks to you. There is never any such thing as 'too much tea', I cast thee as a blaggard and a liar. Ye dash!

MrJan
2nd November 2009, 09:13
I thought the same thing until I opened my mind to the possibilities

Donney
2nd November 2009, 13:00
Nice furniture...

MrJan
2nd November 2009, 14:01
Thankfully not mine, it's the student digs of the lad being hypnotised by the tea. Although the box with the green lid is mine.....that and the large teacup.

schmenke
2nd November 2009, 16:12
What's in the bottle, gin?

MrJan
2nd November 2009, 16:47
Sambuca, it was thankfully untouched as the we strayed more towards beer/lager/cider/vodka coke

djarumdudley
3rd November 2009, 01:53
good move, things would have really went downhill then.

MrJan
3rd November 2009, 09:25
I was being conservative as I needed to drive back the next day to watch the football :)

Donney
3rd November 2009, 18:56
Too much LW for you.

MrJan
3rd November 2009, 22:19
Not possible

Rollo
4th November 2009, 00:53
No soup for you!

MrJan
4th November 2009, 09:22
Too early for soup

Donney
4th November 2009, 10:03
Not really....

MrJan
4th November 2009, 10:41
Boring

Donney
4th November 2009, 15:26
Are you?

MrJan
4th November 2009, 15:27
Yup

Donney
4th November 2009, 15:55
That's why you don't have the LW.

MrJan
4th November 2009, 17:44
Mmmmmm

djarumdudley
4th November 2009, 19:00
indeed, my lunch was tasty

MrJan

Donney
5th November 2009, 11:42
It's liiiiiiiiike raaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiin on your weddiiiing daaayyyy.

MrJan
5th November 2009, 12:29
Which isn't actually ironic.....unless you're a meteorologist or something.

Donney
5th November 2009, 13:11
It's more a question of bad luck...

MrJan
5th November 2009, 13:29
Indeed

Donney
5th November 2009, 15:17
and not a really good song, though catchy....

MrJan
5th November 2009, 16:39
Hmmmmm

Donney
5th November 2009, 17:11
Moooore wooork.......

MrJan
5th November 2009, 18:04
I don't want more work, I've got about 10,000 words to write for a deadline on Wednesday morning. Normally that would be fine but I've got to go to work work as well.

schmenke
6th November 2009, 00:29
The LW and I just finsished of 3 month-end progress reports (well, one still requires a few minor tweaks). We're knackered.

djarumdudley
6th November 2009, 01:00
then you have no use for the last word

Donney
6th November 2009, 09:19
I am veeery tired.

MrJan
6th November 2009, 09:25
ditto

schmenke
6th November 2009, 16:04
Yawn...

MrJan
6th November 2009, 16:06
Oi, you use language like that and you'll wish you hadn't.

Donney
6th November 2009, 16:55
My LW for a while.

schmenke
6th November 2009, 17:32
I hope you enjoyed it.

MrJan
6th November 2009, 18:49
He didn't, he doesn't understand how to enjoy the LW.

I'm using the LW to keep me company while I'm locked out

schmenke
6th November 2009, 19:35
Locked out of what? Your home?
Tsk.
Well, since I'm such a kind, caring person, I'll let you have the company of the LW until you're unlocked.

MrJan
6th November 2009, 20:03
Yeah car was in the garage and house keys were with the car keys. All right now.....apart from how much it cost to get the car through the MOT :(

schmenke
6th November 2009, 21:50
Pfwaaar...

The LW and I have no such concerns on this side of the pond. We can drive whatever piece of junk we choose...

djarumdudley
6th November 2009, 23:35
and we choose some reallly quality pieces

Rollo
6th November 2009, 23:50
Yes... pieces... usually with some other words attached on the end.

I really don't understand why North Americans all want such massive cars. Australia has more miles of total emptiness and yet we do fine with Yarii, Mazda 2s and Focii. Of course the cars Australia does build itself ae huge, but then again the number of people driving them are falling at a rapid rate of knots.

MrJan
7th November 2009, 01:15
I can see the attraction of a big car, I just can't understand why that would make a small car a bad choice.

Rollo
8th November 2009, 20:25
What sort of cars do The Simpsons have?

MrJan
8th November 2009, 20:41
Canyonero!!!!!

Rollo
9th November 2009, 03:53
That would be the truck with four wheel drive; Smells like a steak, and seats thirty five.

No, I meant "what sort of cars do they usually drive?" Homer has some sort of dented... thing, and I'm sure that they have a wagon thing. But which car maker are they?

MrJan
9th November 2009, 09:15
I'm not sure Groening does product placement.

schmenke
9th November 2009, 16:27

Until petrol is taxed to the same extent as in Australia, there will never be an incentive to drive small cars in the U.S.

MrJan
9th November 2009, 16:44
Which is weird, you don't necessarily buy a small car for economy but because you don't need something bigger. A Ford Focus isn't a small car but as far as I know isn't as popular in the states as it is here.

schmenke
9th November 2009, 16:57
In North America, the size of a car is a status symbol. Historically, a bigger car represents wealth and prosperity, both things that Americans always want to express.

The Focus is considered a small car in NA.

MrJan
9th November 2009, 17:12
Over here they say 'big car, small penis' :D :D

Donney
9th November 2009, 18:18
A Ford Focus is a great (since it is what I drive....) and the LW agrees, we both prefer an Aston Martin but that's for another thread.

MrJan
9th November 2009, 19:03
Someone I know through work has an Aston and it shares parts with a Focus. He went through it and showed which parts of the instrument panel came from which Ford cars. Also on the back of the wheel centres there is a Ford badge.

Donney
9th November 2009, 20:00
I don't know if that's good or bad....

MrJan
9th November 2009, 20:14
If you pay the money for an Aston Martin it's bad, if you've paid for a Ford then you can be chuffed that your car shares parts with an Aston.

Rollo
9th November 2009, 20:25
If you pay the money for an Aston Martin it's bad, if you've paid for a Ford then you can be chuffed that your car shares parts with an Aston.

My Ka has Formula One technology.

The engine in the Ford Ka is the FVE or Four Valve E. If you take two blocks, and cut and weld them you get Double Four Valve or DFV which is the most successful engine in GP history... of course it helped that Costin and Duckworth helped a bit.

Donney
9th November 2009, 20:32
Look at that... Amazing little Ka.

MrJan
9th November 2009, 21:20
Well my car............is blue :p : So mnnnnhhhhhhhh

Donney
10th November 2009, 09:37
Mine is boringly maroon.

MrJan
10th November 2009, 09:51
'Got MW2 but can't play it until I've finished my work' LW

Donney
10th November 2009, 15:25
I don't have that MW thing... but I don't what that is so I'm not worried...

MrJan
10th November 2009, 16:11
That's your loss then

schmenke
10th November 2009, 17:05
I have both MW2 and Forza 3 on my list for Santa for Christmas. I can wait. I have the LW to keep me company until then.

MrJan
10th November 2009, 17:08
I've got Forza 3 and it's great with the wheel. Haven't played it too much though as FIFA 10 superseded it and now Modern Warfare is going to get a hammering. Can't wait to start killing things on Live :D Although I should probably finish my college assignment first :( Better stop cocking about online I 'spose.

Oh and my LW

Donney
10th November 2009, 22:17
Since I don't have those games I'll have the LW, thank you.

MrJan
10th November 2009, 22:21
Still doing college work :(

djarumdudley
11th November 2009, 02:10
guess you won't be needing the last word to distract you

Donney
11th November 2009, 09:31
Probably not.

MrJan
11th November 2009, 12:45
Done college work, just need to print and send off now.

Donney
11th November 2009, 15:26
I hate my printer.

MrJan
11th November 2009, 15:46
I have the option of about 4

Donney
11th November 2009, 17:08
Send one in good working order....

MrJan
11th November 2009, 17:16
Thems a bit big... one of them does A0

Donney
11th November 2009, 18:11
Mmmh... maybe the size is a problem here.

MrJan
11th November 2009, 19:21
I tell you what, e-mail me what you want printed, I'll print it off and then I can e-mail it back :)

Donney
11th November 2009, 19:53
Printed e-mails, that's quite a revolutionary concept...

Thanks....

Donney

That might be quite true.

MrJan

"The Long Years of Obscurity"

Is the book about the word 'obscurity' before it got famous. How it got beaten by its adjective father and left on the doorstep, abandoned by its mother, and then it was the only noun growing up in a house of verbs. And the verbs were always going out, doing lovely things, 'cause they're doing words and poor old obscurity was stuck inside suffering from asthma. And then after school it was surrounded by quotation marks, and got beaten up terribly. And then one day it entered a reality TV show and it became very famous, and it was much in demand, and used to describe all the people that leave the Big Brother house.

MrJan

Allouettes to the Grey Cup final!

The Greys must have been a pretty prestigious family. The second Earl Grey lent his name to a kind of tea and the Grey Cup was donated by the fourth Earl Grey.

Is the Stanley Cup older than the Grey Cup?

MrJan
