Donney
23rd June 2009, 11:17
Sorry but the Last Number belongs to another thread.

MrJan
23rd June 2009, 11:29
Link?

Donney
23rd June 2009, 13:11
No

MrJan
23rd June 2009, 13:45

NoahsGirl
23rd June 2009, 18:27
Now now children, I'll take the LW away whilst you all bicker like 5 year olds

Donney
23rd June 2009, 18:35
5 is a number, not allowed in here!

schmenke
23rd June 2009, 20:52
Why?

MrJan
23rd June 2009, 21:21
That's a very valid question Schmenke.

Rollo
24th June 2009, 00:25
Is it because 5 is prime? Untouchable? Fibonacci?

Wherefore and why art thou?

MrJan
24th June 2009, 00:45
I should be in bed but I sort of didn't write an essay so I'm staying up and not doing that :D

Rollo
24th June 2009, 09:07
I'm watching traffic on the main road outside the office window and procrastinating... so that I don't have to drive in it.

MrJan
24th June 2009, 10:34
bla

schmenke
24th June 2009, 21:00
Expending your vocabulary there Miguel...?

MrJan
24th June 2009, 22:01
Wuh

schmenke
24th June 2009, 23:45
You been hanging around with Wade? :p :

djarumdudley
25th June 2009, 05:29
i've been hanging with the last word

Donney
25th June 2009, 08:48
The LW says hi!

MrJan
25th June 2009, 09:03
The last word says bye

Donney
25th June 2009, 10:34
This is looking more and more like a famous song....

MrJan
25th June 2009, 15:42
7514

Donney
25th June 2009, 20:24
Not that song.

MrJan
25th June 2009, 23:52
5--4--3--2--1....5-4-3-2-1

Rollo
26th June 2009, 00:26
Are you trying to remember the code for your luggage?

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f268/yeahigotgas/skroob2.jpg

MrJan
26th June 2009, 09:08
What luggage?

schmenke
26th June 2009, 16:42
The LW does not need luggage as it permanently resides with me and has no intention of going anywhere soon.

Donney
26th June 2009, 17:10
It will need luggage since tomorrow it will be going to Madrid with me and on Tuesday to Portland. OR.

schmenke
26th June 2009, 17:39
Whatcha gonna be doing on this side of the pond Donney?

MrJan
26th June 2009, 17:58
It'll need luggage next Friday too as it'll be marshalling at the Goodwood FoS with me :D :D

schmenke
26th June 2009, 18:09
It'll need luggage next Friday too as it'll be marshalling at the Goodwood FoS with me :D :D

Cool. Can a marshall take pics? :erm:

MrJan
26th June 2009, 23:05
Cool. Can a marshall take pics? :erm:

We'll find out :D :D Even if I can't take the camera there might be a few sneaky shots on the phone :)

schmenke
26th June 2009, 23:28
Meh, we will be expecing full size high-resolution pics posted by Monday :hmph:

...And don't forget the grid girls :erm: :D

MrJan
27th June 2009, 00:25
All depends on how much I get to see, I'll be on the rally stage so fingers crossed get some decent time off to walk about. Even if I don't then it's still free tickets to see some of the world's most amazing rally cars

djarumdudley
2nd July 2009, 02:21
are there technical difficulties?

Rollo
2nd July 2009, 04:26
It's time for the "Technical Difficulties" National Anthem. All stand as we salute the flag and sing:

http://www.achgohairithe.com/content/2007/02/testcard.jpg

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooo.

MrJan
2nd July 2009, 09:05
Hmmmmm

schmenke
2nd July 2009, 15:51
Well, that's the most interesting thing I've seen in a while :mark:

MrJan
2nd July 2009, 16:37
That's what you get from living in Canada :D

djarumdudley
3rd July 2009, 01:19
where was the patch of white snow?

Rollo
3rd July 2009, 02:18
John Hancock was writing his name in it :D

MrJan
3rd July 2009, 15:05
Not snowing here at Goodwood

djarumdudley
4th July 2009, 04:52
there will be documentation of the lack of snow, right?

MrJan
4th July 2009, 09:54
I have some photographic evidence but sadly they don't let us marshals use cameras so not as many as I'd like

schmenke
6th July 2009, 21:19
So, draw us a picture instead.

MrJan
6th July 2009, 22:50
Photographic proof of no snow at Goodwood:

Can I get a "Woohoo" for Polo Mints? Or Volkswagen Polos? Or Polo Shirts?... but not Polo.

MrJan
7th July 2009, 09:46
It's raining so I'm going to ignore Rollo's nonesense.

schmenke
7th July 2009, 15:37
It's stopped raining here.

MrJan
7th July 2009, 16:21
And also here

djarumdudley
8th July 2009, 05:21
rain's just started....again

MrJan
8th July 2009, 09:03
Don't lie :p :

djarumdudley
8th July 2009, 11:03
why i've never?!

MrJan
8th July 2009, 13:01
Never what?

djarumdudley
9th July 2009, 04:22
never been without the last word.

Rollo
9th July 2009, 08:29
It's raining in Sydney. I think I might go and leave a cake outside in it :D

MrJan
9th July 2009, 09:07
Don't waste good cake, give it to me instead :facelick:

Rollo
10th July 2009, 08:17
Hurrah, Friday evening.

It's off down the local for me to jump on the helter-skelter of pints and crisps, that is Friday evening.

I'm not really hungry, I might just have a packet of crisps... now I'm thirsty, I need a pint... you know what always goes well with a pint? A packet of crisps...

And thus 8, 9 or 10 pints and packets of crisps later, it's 3am and you're standing outside and freezing for no real good reason, only jump on the helter-skelter of coffee and cake, that is Saturday morning.

I'm really cold, I might just have a cup of coffee... you know what always goes well with a coffee? A nice bit of cake...

MrJan
10th July 2009, 09:10
Crazy Australians, it's only Friday morning.

djarumdudley
13th July 2009, 07:16
not anymore

MrJan
13th July 2009, 09:04
True that

NoahsGirl
13th July 2009, 20:49
I have the last word

MrJan
13th July 2009, 21:19
Untrue that

djarumdudley
13th July 2009, 22:28
that's a false double negative

MrJan
13th July 2009, 23:00
eh?

Rollo
14th July 2009, 03:30
Big words is confusing to Mr Yeo. Words like "it", "the" and "cat".

When Yeo grow up, he be going to big big school with clock on top.

MrJan
14th July 2009, 09:13
Out Digby?

Rollo
17th July 2009, 00:37
40 years ago today, three men set out on a journey to set foot on a great big rock. Well, two of them. I bet that Michael Collins must have been at one point the "loneliest" man alive.

djarumdudley
17th July 2009, 04:29
he must still be lonelier as the last word has also gone away.

MrJan
17th July 2009, 09:18
aaayyyyyyyy

djarumdudley
17th July 2009, 11:22

MrJan
21st July 2009, 09:06

djarumdudley
22nd July 2009, 00:49
now my last word

MrJan
22nd July 2009, 01:12
I wish I had the LW to put in my essay, still another few hundred before I can do that though so another late night :(

djarumdudley
22nd July 2009, 23:57
i would think the last word in itself would suffice as a proper essay.

MrJan
23rd July 2009, 09:59
I've never tried it, perhaps for my next assignment I'll give it a go.

djarumdudley
24th July 2009, 00:30
at the very least you'll have one amused professor

MrJan
24th July 2009, 00:51
Doesn't matter anyway as I never meet the bugger, doing everything long distance so it's all over the internet :)

Rollo
24th July 2009, 03:27
Doesn't matter anyway as I never meet the bugger, doing everything long distance so it's all over the internet :)

I imagine that it would be if you did it from a long distance... eeeew.

MrJan
24th July 2009, 09:27
Eh? ;)

djarumdudley
29th July 2009, 04:05
let me save the last word from where this is going

MrJan
30th July 2009, 16:20
The lw goes nowhere.

Donney
30th July 2009, 17:21
I don't know....

MrJan
30th July 2009, 20:46
We know that you don't know

djarumdudley
31st July 2009, 01:35
and you don't know the last word

MrJan
31st July 2009, 14:53
I pretty much live with the lw

Mp3 Astra
2nd August 2009, 23:49
You're going to have to live without it for a long, long time. Say good bye!

MrJan
3rd August 2009, 09:54
That's simply not true.

Donney
3rd August 2009, 10:59
Some people....

MrJan
3rd August 2009, 11:08
Hey...hey, take it easy....take it easy

Donney
4th August 2009, 13:09
Easy like Sunday morning....

MrJan
4th August 2009, 13:47
Wrong thread

djarumdudley
5th August 2009, 09:44
right last word

MrJan
5th August 2009, 10:13

Donney
5th August 2009, 10:53
Since you left it I'll take it.

MrJan
5th August 2009, 11:32

Donney
5th August 2009, 17:36
Welcome!

MrJan
5th August 2009, 18:05
Thank you

schmenke
5th August 2009, 23:09
The LW shall be enjoying my company for the next little while...

Donney
6th August 2009, 09:23
It will endure your company, but enjoying....

MrJan
6th August 2009, 09:34
It's bored now

schmenke
6th August 2009, 18:25
Because it's back with you...

MrJan
6th August 2009, 21:24
What could possibly be boring about writing another essay? Although there is the extremely exciting prospect of the first game of the season on Saturday, bit of a mission (in our tiny country anyway) but it'll be worth it when the ref blows his whistle and we begin life in League 1

djarumdudley
7th August 2009, 03:50
the last word abandons you as you have overlooked the possibility of writing an essay about the season opener

Donney
7th August 2009, 09:17
The LW needs more summer and less essays.

MrJan
7th August 2009, 09:22
So do I :(

Donney
7th August 2009, 19:27
Enjoy!!!!

schmenke
7th August 2009, 21:09
I shall be enjoying a long weekend with the LW.

MrJan
8th August 2009, 10:54
First day LW

Donney
8th August 2009, 16:50
The LW and I have some biscuits to make

MrJan
8th August 2009, 20:15
I've eaten biscuits

Donney
9th August 2009, 17:51
Me too.

djarumdudley
10th August 2009, 05:10
last word before sleep

Donney
10th August 2009, 08:33
First LW before work.

MrJan
10th August 2009, 11:24
srthrsyrths

Donney
10th August 2009, 18:45
Is that contagious?

MrJan
10th August 2009, 21:05
It can be if you want it to

Donney
11th August 2009, 09:20
I don't think I want it, thanks though.

MrJan
11th August 2009, 09:31
Your loss...... And my lw

Donney
11th August 2009, 13:02
Yeah right....

MrJan
11th August 2009, 14:42
Yup

schmenke
11th August 2009, 17:08
Nope.

MrJan
11th August 2009, 19:03
Yarp

Rollo
12th August 2009, 01:38
I wanna rock and roll all night, and party every day.

djarumdudley
12th August 2009, 02:32
but without the last word

MrJan
12th August 2009, 08:35
I want to finish this essay.....or rather I need to as it's deadline day.

Donney
12th August 2009, 12:00
Good luck, the LW won't disturb you.

MrJan
12th August 2009, 13:14
I have the LW, both in the essay and here :D

schmenke
12th August 2009, 15:41
What's the topic of your essay?

Donney
12th August 2009, 17:53
We know it's not the LW, since he knows nothing about it.

MrJan
12th August 2009, 18:06
I know almost everything there is to know about the LW.

Essay was on Construction Technology, looking at quality, building in a confined space and building regulations regarding fire.

djarumdudley
13th August 2009, 02:07
seems you don't know about having it now

MrJan
13th August 2009, 09:07
Really?

Donney
13th August 2009, 09:25
Indeed.

MrJan
13th August 2009, 12:06
Damn straight

Donney
13th August 2009, 12:52
LW is mine.

MrJan
13th August 2009, 14:27
'cept it ain't

Donney
13th August 2009, 17:20
Oh, I'd say it is.

MrJan
13th August 2009, 17:58
Can you stop doing that, I'm trying to catch your LW post count (to prove that I'm the saddest get here) and if you keep posting I won't be able to do it.

schmenke
13th August 2009, 21:40
I doubt that I'll ever catch you two, but I'm aiming to surpass Rollo :D

MrJan
13th August 2009, 23:08
It's a sad life really, I stumbled across the LW thread while I was on work experience and over 4 years later I'm still here writing pointless crap. On the bright side though I have the LW :p :

djarumdudley
14th August 2009, 01:30
it's always pointless when you no longer have the last word

Rollo
14th August 2009, 03:51
Essay was on Construction Technology, looking at quality, building in a confined space and building regulations regarding fire.

Grade II and higher Government Listed Buildings containing public servants are not required to have fire escapes retro-fitted where this would significantly alter the building.
Perhaps Her Majesty's Public Servants are not easily inflamed :D

Rollo
14th August 2009, 03:56
I doubt that I'll ever catch you two, but I'm aiming to surpass Rollo :D

It's just like being on the motorway. I'd be in the central lane doing 85-90 and someone in a car that barely comes up to my window line would whizz past at 110...

... and then they're having scones with Mr Plod about 5 miles up the road. Mr Plod likes scones; he let's people know that he wants to have scones with them by having a blue light flash on top of his car. It means "Come, let us have scones"

Donney
14th August 2009, 08:29
Can you stop doing that, I'm trying to catch your LW post count (to prove that I'm the saddest get here) and if you keep posting I won't be able to do it.

Sorry but I can't help it. I might stop when and if I find a life, in the meantime...

MrJan
14th August 2009, 09:10
Well that's just not very nice

Donney
14th August 2009, 09:56
But the LW likes me.

MrJan
14th August 2009, 10:29
That isn't actually true, the LW thinks that you smeeeelllllll of wee

Donney
14th August 2009, 10:59
I think you are mistaking me with a a certain Darco person.

MrJan
14th August 2009, 11:58
It's not me, it's the LW. Whatever happened to DD anyway? Consigned to the history books of the LW like Carl and Mr Kurtz (who IIRC began the original thread)

schmenke
14th August 2009, 16:42
I want to know what Rollo puts in his tea...

MrJan
14th August 2009, 18:00
Mostly crack.........and mushrooms..crack and mushrooms

Donney
14th August 2009, 18:41
Not sugar.... I should say.

DD seems to have abandoned us forever.

schmenke
14th August 2009, 20:39
She left thinking that she had the LW.
Little did she know...

MrJan
15th August 2009, 00:22
I've always thought that she knew little :p : :D

Donney
15th August 2009, 16:03
The LW agrees.

djarumdudley
15th August 2009, 17:12
with me having it

MrJan
15th August 2009, 20:36
for a while

Donney
16th August 2009, 15:48
Shouldn't you be watching some football?

MrJan
16th August 2009, 23:00
I'd already watched the football, very good it was too :D

Rollo
17th August 2009, 00:53
I want to know what Rollo puts in his tea...

Nothing.

We have cold tea, without milk or sugar... or tea. And we don't even have a cup, we have to drink it out of a rolled up newspaper.

MrJan
17th August 2009, 01:02
And eat coal

Rollo
17th August 2009, 02:27
Luxury…

When I were lad we used to live in cave wit' two dozen goats and ‘ave to pray 50 times a day, eat curried gravel everyday and make 3 dozen bombs before bedtime.
If dad were in bad mood he would make us read t’koran backwards and then behead us and sell us into sex slavery… if we were lucky!

Tell that tae the young jihadists of today and they wont believe you.

Donney
17th August 2009, 07:52
I'll confirm it with the LW.

MrJan
17th August 2009, 09:14
Unconfirmed

Donney
17th August 2009, 09:49
No comments.

MrJan
17th August 2009, 10:20
As usual

Donney
17th August 2009, 11:04
Does it mean you find my remarks not witty enough?

MrJan
17th August 2009, 11:57
I didn't know that they were witty at all :p :

Donney
17th August 2009, 12:01
Ignorant!!!!!

Donney
18th August 2009, 08:53
I have just found the LW.

MrJan
18th August 2009, 11:12
I've just found my feet

Donney
18th August 2009, 12:05
Just below your ankles I hope....

MrJan
18th August 2009, 13:12
Near enough

Donney
18th August 2009, 16:54
Good for you!

MrJan
18th August 2009, 17:01
It is

Donney
18th August 2009, 17:46
Imagine if your feet were by your elbows.

MrJan
18th August 2009, 18:01
I'd rather not.

djarumdudley
19th August 2009, 02:23
what would happen if you were suffering from a double diagnosis of tennis elbow and athlete's foot?

Rollo
19th August 2009, 04:13
You would hurt... quite badly I imagine.

djarumdudley
19th August 2009, 06:18
not so long as i have the last word

Rollo
19th August 2009, 08:18
Even despite a "double diagnosis of tennis elbow and athlete's foot"? Give over, that's a bit rich.

Donney
19th August 2009, 08:36
Don't touch the LW with such a medical condition.

MrJan
19th August 2009, 09:06
Oi

Donney
19th August 2009, 11:06
Yeah!!!

MrJan

MrJan

NO, I live in Exeter

Rollo
20th August 2009, 00:48
Exeter, in a county only famous for afternoon tea and that bloody stupid metal obelisk thing with the riddles on.

Didn't Chris Martin come from Exeter? And if so, does that explain his whineyness? :D

nothing can explain his whineyness. actually from this point on when he's introduced anywhere it should be as "His Whineyness, Chris Martin"!

Rollo
20th August 2009, 07:32
There are many problems with people from the south... MANY!!!

Donney
20th August 2009, 08:42
That's why the LW should never go to Exeter again.

Rollo
20th August 2009, 08:58
Hitherto and wherefore, we should pronounce a borders ban on the LW from entering the county of Devon, and to be decontaminated immediately.

All complaints should be addressed to:
British Airways
Inghams Drive
Redditch.

MrJan
20th August 2009, 09:13
Exeter, in a county only famous for afternoon tea and that bloody stupid metal obelisk thing with the riddles on.

I saw a fat bird stuck in that riddle thing within about 2 weeks of being it unveiled  I'm not quite sure how they got her out, there were fire crews with something hydraulic but there were no cut marks on the thing the next day. I stood there watching it (along with a group of lads who were singing football chants at her) for about 20 minutes but sadly I'd had a few ales and only have a hazy recollection of events so will never know how she managed to escape.

And if I had to think of anything worth be famous for then I think afternoon tea would be pretty close to the top of the list :D

Oh and the LW lives in Devon, it just holidays in Spain, the US and whatever planet Rollo is on.

Donney
20th August 2009, 09:54
Devon is a fake location for the LW, it definitely does not live or like it there.

MrJan
20th August 2009, 10:00
Rubbish, tis God's own (and the LW's) County.

Donney
20th August 2009, 11:02
I don't know about God, but I know about the LW.

MrJan
20th August 2009, 11:11
You know nerzing

schmenke
20th August 2009, 16:37
The LW spends only the occasional brief holiday stint in Europe, and it has recently confided that both Devon and Exeter are unlikely future return destinations.
Its permanent residence is on this side of the pond.

MrJan
20th August 2009, 17:14
Poppycock

Donney
20th August 2009, 17:21
The LW is not such a fan of snowfalls.

MrJan
20th August 2009, 18:06
It's sunny here

Donney
20th August 2009, 19:05
It's scorching here.

MrJan
20th August 2009, 19:32
But snowing?

schmenke
20th August 2009, 20:43
Warm and sunny here. Besides, the LW doesn't mind frolicking in the snow. Certainly more entertaining than sipping cold tea or puzzling obelisks.

MrJan
20th August 2009, 21:22
Sun and snow come and go but tea will always be immense.

schmenke
20th August 2009, 21:55
Is that taken from one of your essays? :s

MrJan
20th August 2009, 22:13
No,.....but I may use it in the next one :D

schmenke
20th August 2009, 22:19
Do you want to fail? :p :

MrJan
20th August 2009, 22:31
I won't fail with that gem, that's PGDip gold right there.

schmenke
20th August 2009, 23:25
Eh?

MrJan
21st August 2009, 01:09
It's probably above you, I'm a student you know :p : :D

Rollo
21st August 2009, 03:21
I am feeling really really tired after watching the end of the first day's play at the Oval.

It's funny because I don't recall seeing the Gasometer in the background. I hope they've not dismantled it. That would be all kinds of Boo.

Donney
21st August 2009, 08:38
Sure, sure....

djarumdudley
21st August 2009, 09:25
no more last word for you

MrJan
21st August 2009, 09:39
Boooooooooo

Donney
21st August 2009, 17:22
Now he's not happy.

MrJan
21st August 2009, 21:46
Actually I'm fairly happy, thanks to Broad and Swann this afternoon and a shakey middle order from the Aussies :D :D

Donney
22nd August 2009, 16:08
Ok, then you won't care about not having the LW.

djarumdudley
22nd August 2009, 16:46
but i do

MrJan
22nd August 2009, 17:07
No I need the LW now, Exeter are playing poorly and even our performance in the cricket isn't enough to cheer me up

Rollo
23rd August 2009, 15:53
Ponting's out now, and the Ashes tilt ever so closer to being England's once more.

Donney
23rd August 2009, 17:19
And the LW is so obviously mine.

MrJan
23rd August 2009, 18:16
Yes....obviously

djarumdudley
24th August 2009, 05:32
yet again you fail to understand the meaning of obvious

Donney
24th August 2009, 08:39
Let him be, he's a student.

MrJan
24th August 2009, 09:08
No I'm not, I'm at work right now

Donney
24th August 2009, 10:58
The LW isn't.

MrJan
24th August 2009, 11:06
The LW doesn't need a job

Donney
24th August 2009, 12:22
That is a good thing.

MrJan
24th August 2009, 13:44
But I do :(

Donney
24th August 2009, 16:37
I am more in need of money...

MrJan
24th August 2009, 16:52
Me first

Rollo
25th August 2009, 01:19
I am in need of some yogurt, some peach slices, a croissant, a black coffee and the morning newspaper.

djarumdudley
25th August 2009, 04:06
that's a bunch of items the last word has little time for

Rollo
25th August 2009, 08:17
Fiddlesticks. Even at 200mph there is always time for baked goods. There is even a country in Europe who thinks that baked goods are so important that they have named their people after them... the Danish.

MrJan
25th August 2009, 09:05
And the small island off the coast of N.Ireland known as Small White Loaf

Rollo
25th August 2009, 09:16
I think I'd like to spend a week in summer on the Isle of Muck. That sounds like an altogether peaceful holiday.

http://www.isleofmuck.com/

Donney
25th August 2009, 09:38
Right then, you start planning your stay there while I enjoy the company of the LW.

MrJan
25th August 2009, 11:20
That's enough enjoyment now

Donney
25th August 2009, 11:57
Not really...

MrJan
25th August 2009, 12:57
Eh?

Donney
25th August 2009, 15:23
The LW is right here.
