I'm just wondering how many of the Irish regulars are planning to do rally Ireland now that it is a WRC round. I would assume that they would want to do it even more to show their speed on the world stage but I'd imagine it becomes a more costly affair with it being a WRC round.

What I'm saying is can we really expect the vast majority of top drivers and machinery to enter and is the entry list going to be as amazing as it should be. I really hope so as I'll be there. Anyone know when tickets go on sale by the way?

Hopefully there'll be no such thing as "tickets". Maybe for the SSS but rest of stages should be free.

They cant stop you walking on a public road before it closes, so as i see it if your clever and get there early then youll be fine.

Large amount of high profile withdrawals which is a bit of a shape. This is what I was on abotu earlier in reference to rally Ireland. Should be a great rally never the less I'm sure Loeb makes up for a few absentees.

Amazing entry list, only possible in GB and some WRC events.
Cant see why people from GB complaining about no money for rally when rest of europe complaining about they cant even afford a WRCar.

After SS6,
Mark Higgins/Rory Kennedy Subaru Impreza 40:17.1
Sebastien Loeb/Daniel Elena Citroen C4 40:54.3
Andreas Mikkelson/Ola Floene Ford Focus 41:08.7

great drive so far from Higgins and Mikkelson, maybe november will be more interesting than some the season has been thus far, its early in the event and no doubt as he gets the car to his pleasing Loeb will speed up, but respect to Mark and Andreas, ok Mark has done the event a couple of times but remember he is in a S11, and its Andreas's 1st visit although he has done a couple of Irish events

This is maybe a little offtopic, but what is the rally/stage called that Higgins can drive faster then anyone withouth a codriver.
I saw a video of this and he talking all the time and is relaxed during the stage like hes driving on the country road.

I saw once a video where he was driving a Honda Civic in the Manx Rally maybe 1994 or something, and while he was driving we was describing the road ahead perfectly.

And I heard about "Bogey Time"
Can somebody explain to me what it is ?

Thank you !

"Bogey Time" is the fastest time you are allowed to do the stage in. For safety's sake the average speed of a stage should be no more than 70mph (I think).

Stages with huge long straights are a bit pointless anyway. This a way to try and keep speeds in check.

Organisers usually throw in a few chicanes at the fastest parts or include more junctions to try and keep average speeds down.

If someone does an average speed faster than 70mph, they get the time for an average of 70mph.

That's from the Manx Rally, think the stage is Castletown. I believe he describes the stage when he was driving the Astra Kit Car in the 2000 British Rally Championship
