V8 style point standings. :p : Low reliability level is really costing decent positions for Red Bull teams. And Renault has been more reliable than BMW.

What do the * stand for?

Educated guess: Rookies.

Lately I've been pondering a system of 15-11-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 with 1 bonus point for setting the fastest lap and another for leading the most laps, but I'm not really excited about sitting down and figuring it out.

interesting reading that.

Ive always wanted a couple points for fastest lap, it would keep people pushing on for longer.

And that clearly shows why these point systems don't work for for F1. I think there is no doubt that the general concensus is that Hiedfield/BMW has been a better driver/car package then Fisico/Renault.

So under that system, the winner was also the first loser?

I like both the RaikkonenRules and the Jens points systems and would be happy to go with either. The current system in F1 is just so archaic and needs a major overhaul.

No points. Just the most wins, second places etc etc.

We would see much better racing then rather than passing in the pits most of the time.
