I love Monaco!
I've been following F1 for over 6 years now and when Monaco comes it's like seeing an old friend. :p

Not only is it beautiful but it has such a great tradition and no one futses with it. It is still the same, with the same corners, twists and turns and narrow "alleys" where these cars just zoom by flirting with danger and just pushing the limits of speed, talent and phisics.

And yes, passes can happen - i remember some great ones in that weird turn after the tunnel - sorry, 6 years and I still don't know the names of the curves :)


Anyway . . . I love Monaco's F1 race.

Hey Buddy, I did just that and it worked. I was getting a message that there was a conflict in loading java. So I ran my System Mechanic all night to do whatever registry repairs, and whatever else it does.

Then I went to java and downloaded the java environment, which it didn't need to as I already had it in my download folder.

So I just re-installed the java environment and it re-installed it over the original installment(s) and presto, I could access the live timing again.

So for those who cannot access live timing, try re-installing the java runtime environment.

Hamilton second place with his first flying lap in Q3, he should have had pole today but managed to lose it and almost lost 2nd too.

Felipe finally got close to the top for the first time this week end, damage limitation race tomorrow for Him and Ferrari.

I love how he places the car over the kerbs with the rear-end sliding, using the throttle to control the slide through the swimming pool section. Reminds me of Schumi!

Too bad Denis Jenkinson isn't around to witness this. When Jenks first saw Senna he said "It's like Gilles Villenueve all over again". No doubt he would say the same thing about Hamilton!

This is the first piece of F1 that I've watched since the Australian GP. I have to admit that I found the qualifying quite exciting to watch. Lewis was showing real enjoyment and expression in his driving. Pity about Kimi, has there been any confirmation yet as to what exactly went wrong? From the ITV footage, it was difficult to tell if he had come into the chichane with the damage already done or whether he clipped the inside wall or hit the rumble strips too hard. I don't have it taped so can't analyise it any better but I think Stefano Domincelli said at the end that Kimi did indeed hit inside wall.

All the same, I'd say it will be a good race tomorrow, especcially if the heavens open. Unfortunatley, I will miss the live race as I have something very important to do but hopefully I can catch some repeats later on.

Unfortunately for him, his lack of experience cost him. He let go with the slightest drops of rain, while the rain did not affect anyone else'e lap.

Godd effort by Massa to put himself into P3, it will be an interesting race tomorrow.

What about DC? Such an "experienced" driver behaving like a moron... either that or an asshole! i can't help notice that RBR and Renault are pretty much on the same level these days.

McLaren had the edge over Ferrari as some expected. Massa was quite nowhere for most of the qualifying, so his last flier (only 2 tenths behind FA) was really amazing.

Fisichella, Rosberg and Webber are all quite clearly on 2 stoppers, but still a great job by all of them. BMW seems to have the heaviest fuel load - they looked 2nd fastest in Q2. But 7th and 8th are a bit too far behind - maybe they decided for too heavy fuel load. STR is gradually improving. Liuzzi starts 12th (and 4th in Q1!!) like he did last year - I guess he soon may also get the honour of a Monaco specialist (interesting - Monaco seems to suit Italians :p :) .

And Toyota is incredibly useless. It's becoming really painful to watch that kind of inability. :( The only occasion, when Trulli failed to qualify into Top10 at Monaco, was in 1997 in Minardi (he was in Top10 even in 1998-1999 in those hopeless Prosts). I think this says it all... Probably only Spyker is weaker than Toyota at the moment, although I'm not sure even about that one...

I think I am talking about the previous lap, where he could improve but let goof it with som drops of rain. The next lap I think is the one which he faced traffic.

To DC's defence, he said that he had communictaed with his team on the radio askingg if Heikki is on a fast lap or not, and he said "there was some mis-communication there". To me it seems like his race engineer gave him the wrong information. That probably explains why he was contemplating with letting Heikki go.
