The budget for creating your team is $48,000,000.
To complete your team, you need to pick three drivers (two official drivers and a 3rd driver), a chassis, and an team engine.
Your third driver choice, which costs £1m, is any driver that does not appear on the price list.
Finally you must pick a bonus GP which will score double points for your team at that race.

Once complete please choose a name for your team and post your entry in this thread.
You have until the end of the day on March 2nd, 2023 to submit your team.

As team principle at the Bagbomber Racing Team , I want to congratulate the drivers and all the crews at the factories for putting in a stellar race .
Sure , we suffered some difficulties with the Haas chassis , but a third and sixth for the drivers , and a win for the engine has us all very excited for a real fight with the front runners .

Though I can appreciate that you are keeping Taz, Mutley, and Bagwan in complete suspense.... if you are getting burned out on doing this and need a break let us know. I'm sure we will figure something out to help take up slack or take over for a while if you need the time. Heck, let me do it for just a few races and they will all be begging you to come back and take over, even if you take your time and always post results late.

And I do feel your pain. I keep some spreadsheets for an online shooting match we do on another forum, and it can suck the life out of you when your results are lower in the pack. We promoted it enough to get some real aces to join, and now most of the rest of us hope to even be noticed. :laugh:

Fernando Alonso has spoken out about his difficulties of keeping the car on the track after Aston Martin’s decision ruined his chance to beat Max Verstappen. The team opted to fit dry tyres instead of intermediates or full wets at a crucial stage which could have changed the outcome of the race.

Alonso stopped first, Aston Martin bizarrely opting for dry tyres as others took for the intermediates. According to Sky Sports F1, Alonso questioned the decision over team radio but his team were admanent the dry compounds were the right call.

A switch to wet tyres would have given Alonso a chance to close on Verstappen who was struggling around as the conditions quickly worsened. Verstappen also had a big moment at Portier on his lap into the pits, losing control of the rear end and tapping the barrier on the outside.

In the weeks leading up the Grand Prix, city officials trap as many groundhogs as they can in and around the race course, and transport the animals to nearby Île Ste-Helene.[25] Nonetheless, in 1990, Alessandro Nannini struck a gopher on the track which damaged his tire. In 2007, a groundhog disrupted the practice session of Ralf Schumacher. On race day itself, Anthony Davidson had been running in third until he struck a groundhog, initially thought to be a beaver, which forced him to pit and repair the damage to his front wing. In 2008, a groundhog crossed the track at the hairpin in the 2nd practice session but luckily did not disrupt the session. In 2018, Romain Grosjean struck a groundhog in the 2nd practice session on the approach to turn 13, damaging his front wing. I'll roll with it either way. I'm not sure if the Sprints have really impacted scores much for titles and such, but they might impact FGP results more since we all have mixed teams. If you feel the extra work is worth it then go for it. I'm just glad you keep the FGP running. :beer:

Thanks for your efforts and keeping FGP running once again N. Jones! Regardless of your position in the standings you are the champion of FGP. :champion:


After a slow start, things came together and I managed to claw it into the top 5 and win some races. I thought those that got Alonso on the team might solidify that lead from the early season races, but in the end AMR and Alonso faded some, and the RB team managed to pull it off.

And no better way to finish the season than to have Yuki as DOTD, and leading the race at one point. He had me wondering why I stuck with him for another year, but in the end manage to scrape up some points. And since Logan got a point, I didn't really waste any money on drivers.

After stumbling at the last few steeples, Team Wise Guy has had a screen drawn around him. He will spend the long dark teatime rocking back and forth mumbling Ricciardo, Ricciardo.


Ricciardo, Piastri and now Doohan - 2023 has been quite a year for the Aussies. F1 still excites me after all these years and I look forward to the 2024 season as much as any before.
