a county about 45 minutes or an hour from me had 'drive your tractor' to school day yesterday.

I wish my dad would have owned his tractors when i lived home. It would have been sweet to go with the 67 Valmet or if it rained, with the 79 Valmet. Parking space wouldn't have been a problem :)

I have never heard of valmet. where do you live?

The 1979 model is a Valmet 702-1102 which he fixed up three years ago.
The other, now that i think further it has to be older than 1967, can't remeber exactly though.
Valmet/Valtra is a Finnish manufacturer.

I had a bit of a joyride in a tractor on the road they built on Topgear a few months ago. It was ace, I wish I had a tractor, those kids are so lucky.
A JCB Fasttrack would my tractor of choice, air seat, air con, fridge and and a CD player, cant go wrong at all. Unfortunately I dont have £56k spare to buy one :(
