how embarassing... i would bet that the wages earned at ferrari are rather high though, and as such, i have no sympathy

actually, ferrari line workers are paid a pittance. teachers and policemen in that part of the country are better paid.

With Ferrari's prestige, it is easy to imagine the line workers are not well paid at all.

i agree, too.

the part of that you might not realise is that in italy, the average policeman, teacher or nurse makes around 13,000 euro or so, before tax.

it is not uncommon for a Ferrari line worker to make less than 10,000 before tax and i have no idea how one man lives on that, let alone raises a family.

there's just a bit of a misconception that, because the cars cost plenty, everybody who works there is on plenty, too.

one would assume that since there is a high profitability in the cars, some of the money might trickle down the line
