I wish thois program would let me import tabs ;-) Another Pole for JG! DJ doesn't make race. Johnny Benson in a Toyota just makes it. Is this the TRD assembled car?

The 8 drivers out of the Top 35 in Owner's Points that had to make it on speed are :
03. Scott Riggs
10. Dave Blaney
13. A J Allmendinger
14. David Reutimann
24. Ward Burton
26. Kenny Wallace
31. Johnny Benson
43. Paul Menard

evidently shortracks are Allmedingers forte. great qualifying effort by him and that team.

also kudos to Johnny Benson on a one-off for Wyler. must be like salt to the wound for MWR.

Not if that car is the result of MWR giving Toyota one of their cars for TRD to look at ways to improve, and they benefit from what is learned.

shouldn't it be a two way street? you'd think the "flagship" of MWR would benefit from any findings before a "one-off" team.

in the Toyota pecking order i'd think an MWR car would NEED to race before a Wyler entry.

I'd be amazed if Benson did not have NAPA or UPS on the car before the green flag drops on Saturday. Am not surprised Johnny qualified though - he's a very good driver who Toyota should have ensured was in a full time Cup ride.
Great job also by Allmendinger to qualify so well, while David Reutimann is proving how strong a driver he is by doing another solid job for MWR. And its great to see Kenny Wallace again qualify for an under-funded single car team.
DJ missing the race was bad news while the Woods missing another race is a shame. Wonder how much longer Schrader will be in that #21 car...
