View Full Version : New sidepods tested by Ferrari

But the testing has been disrupted by heavy rain today and will be extended until Tuesday. How nice would it be to have rain also the on race Sunday! It would be the only thing to spice up a dull Spanish GP.
It is sad that they allow this crap to be hung all over the car. It makes them look like ****.

most 70's F1 cars looked like **** to me ;)
yet I still think it was the best decade for F1.

what is exactly the side pot in that pix?can someone help?
Unfortunately, the slimmer sidepods make the chimneys/wings look like they stick out even farther. While I look at the cars as aerodynamically intriguing, they are aesthetically cluttered and messy. (But then, that's what makes it an F1 car and not a Champ Car, etc.)
yes thank god for champ cars

WEll, you could always bring the bulls from Pamplona and have a bullrun on the circuit during the race. :p :

Nah, Max would be against it, it's too expensive! ;)
Anyway it seems that the test went very well as Kimi says:
"We have found something which is definitely much better for me. I think we can use the full potential of the car now."

That's significant for Kimi and his prospects for the rest of the season. It seems that more time in the car has allowed him to develop it more to his liking, something that he doesn't appear to have been able to do fully before now.
Ferrari's developments, and those of McLaren, just go to show the endless work that teams do throughout the season.

Yeah, better than chicanes ruining the best corners on the racetrack!

Well, Kimi is in joint lead position after 3 races where he has been unhappy with his car. Now he is happy with his car so it could become very difficult time for his opponents... :)

so they're all liers? ich don't think so.
Might have had a little less problems with the car in Melbourne, but it was evident that he was struggling in Malaysia and Bahrain.

The sides of the car, between the front and rear wheels, where the radiators are housed.
