The Red and White livery looks striking. the prominence of the white makes the car more distinctive from the 2015 car. The lines of the car seem more streamlined, from the top, the sweeping converging lines from the cockpit past the engine compartment reminds one of a pencil skirt the ladies wear to dazzle us guys. The rear area seem heavily comparted but the configuration of the cooling architecture of the engine has equally been laid out to improve cooling and to allow for this tight lines at the rear. It seems the nose is shorter, the wheelbase is the same as the 2015 car. In short, it looks brilliant as you would expect from Ferrari and more aerodynamically efficient than the 2015 car.

The reconfiguration of the layout of the engine cooling would suggest that the potential of the 2015 car may have been limited by its engine heat management. There is the obvious emphasis on engine cooling in the Ferrari engine redesign. The other broad area of change is the adoption of Mercedes' variable inlet trumpets to improve fuel - air mixture tuning.
There is all indications that this Ferrari SF16H may turn out to be much quicker than the 2015 car. It would be great to see if it is quicker than the 2015 Mercedes car or as quick as the 2016 Mercedes car. Better still quicker. My gut tells me Mercedes have a fight on their hands this season.
