Just my opinion, but it's a pity that crash compilations (fatal & non-fatal) are more prevalent than film of unbelievable passing and out-braking maneuvers.

I'll add too that seeing footage of such events the same day they occured was enough for me.

Hello George RR Martin.

I really want this video to be available because I feel it is the most entertaining and informational video on fatal racing crashes by far on YouTube.

The deaths of 82 people is "entertaining"?

I will say the only words I know that you'll understand:

Bar-bar-bar bar bar bar-bar bar bar-bar bar bar bar bar-bar bar bar-bar bar-bar-bar bar-bar bar bar-bar bar bar bar bar-bar bar bar-bar bar-bar-bar bar bar-bar bar bar-bar bar bar bar bar-bar bar bar-bar bar-bar-bar bar-bar bar bar-bar bar bar bar bar-bar bar bar-bar. :D

I can see this poster is going to be a valid member of the forums

Watching any of these once is enough as AA said.

There is not enough epic battle/passing videos indeed (of good quality)

Just my opinion here, but I believe that there is a difference between gently pointing out flaws in a new user's first post and bashing them. Like all of you guys/gals, I am not particularly comfortable with accidents and deaths in motor racing, but surely this is a tad rude, especially to a newcomer?

Rude? Yes. Duly noted.

However it would have been better had the OP took the time and consideration to realize that this is a racing forum and not a disaster porn website.

If it were a question of someone being unfamiliar with the rules or conventions of the forum, then yes it would be reasonable to cut them some slack. But when it comes to basic taste and decency, being a newcomer to a particular forum isn't much of an excuse.

I don't know how one can possibly feel satisfaction from watching a video with fatal crash compilations. I personally seek out to read about and watch the videos of fatal crashes, but it is not for satisfaction. It's because I am interested in learning what went wrong in those crashes so we can prevent such tragedies from happening in future. I don't watch any fatal crashes experiencing anything but sorrow.

I think you'll be looking for another word than "entertaining". However, if you wanted to create a good complication - I mean "good" - then fair enough. It looks like you have put in a fair amount of effort and really put lots of crashes into one video. Just trying to be constructive instead of emotional as fatality isn't an easy issue to talk about.:)

It's not so much the emotional issue, although that's part of it.

What I believe stirred people up was the fact it was the OP's first post - which one member zeroed-in on with his response. Therefore it was, pardon the pun, a dead-giveaway that he/she was looking for hits on that link.

Had it been that this person was a regular contributing member, the responses most likely would not have had the degree of negative feedback that followed.

I'll never watch a video, any video, that shows the last seconds of a persons life and find it entertaining. And certainly not in the case of one that highlights racing accidents.

Click bait rejected.

I'm all for cutting some slack to first time posters but honestly pairing fatal accidents with entertainment is a very poor choice, to put it in a very civil way.
I wouldn't have anything against closing this thread.

I get that people need some slack when they join a forum, but it appeared he joined just to promote his video's. Then the fact that these videos are pretty tasteless, to real fans of motorsport.

Then using terms "entertainment" and asuch

Not much slack to cut IMO.
