Brad Keselowski wins the 2014 FIA Cup Championship by 17 points over Jeff Gordon. For only the 4th time in the 40 seasons from 1975-2014 we have no agreement in any of the points systems as to who the champion is with Kevin Harvick winning the Sprint Cup, Jeff Gordon the Winston Cup, and Kes winning the FIA Cup (the whole history which is explained here for our newer members) http://www.motorsportforums.com/showthread.php?24522-NASCAR-The-Modern-Era-1975-2013-Rescored-using-F1-points&highlight=Nascar
Here are the 2014 FIA Cup Standings:
01 B Keselowski..............332
02 J Gordon..................315
03 K Harvick.................298
04 J Logano..................291
05 D Earnhardt Jr............245
06 J Johnson.................233
07 M Kenseth.................219
08 Ky Busch..................169
09 K Larson..................159
10 C Edwards.................129
------------------------------------
11 R Newman..................121
12 D Hamlin..................120
13 Ku Busch..................116
14 C Bowyer..................107
15 J McMurray................103
Obviously this will be without the new wrinkle the FIA added this year with double points in the final race so as to keep the historical perspective with all the work I did for the previous 39 seasons....
I don't have alot of time right now so I won't be doing all the extra statistical mumbo jumbo I did the last several seasons, all the numbers are pretty much inline with the last 5-6 years.
I will be updating the champions list in the thread that I linked to above in the history subforum.
