The :rolleyes: smiley. When you see this smiley, what kind of attitude do you think the poster is taking and what kind of tone is he/she talking in? I need to know... well because it's a very ambiguous smiley! :rolleyes:

To me it means that person is writing in response to what has been said in the previous post, and addopts an attitude of doubting or not believing what has just read.

Most of the time I dont like it, as I dont like people rolling their eyes at me anyway.

But as Carl said, with anything, it depends on the context of the post and the thread, what the person is replying to and what they themselves are saying.

I cannot believe that a seemingly intelligent person like you would say such a foolish thing. There are so many errors and false assumptions in what you said, that I wouldn't know where to start in pointing those errors out to you, and I get the feeling that if I did start, you wouldn't understand what I was saying anyway. I give up. I really do. Attempting rational communication with you seems pointless. All I can think of to do is roll my eyes heavenward and pray that, at some point in the future, you re-discover what it means to THINK!
