Scroll down near the bottom, Ferrari front wheel fins are moving aero devices considering the fins moves up and down in accordance to the wheel hub and suspension movements.

Ferrari have had this device since the second half of 2006.

Wake up Max and co, lets ban these aero devices.

If its featured in the Formula one website then I would think the FIA and the other teams all probably knew about it for a while and do not consider it illegal

Are you sure you mean the front fin? To me after a quicj glance it seems to attached to the chassis.

The part isn't attached to the suspension or the wheel rim so doesn't move with the wheel hub or suspension.. It's attached to the chassis and therefore moves with the chassis and the barge-board.

Next time, get your facts right.

The diagram clearly shows that it is attached to chassis and not the wheel hub. It's called a front wheel inner fin because it is positioned inside the front wheel, although it is not attached to it.

Wait! The chassis moves up and down, so it has to be a moveable aero device! Every car in F1 should be banned. :rolleyes:

Interestingly enough, any device attached to the wheel hub will move way less up down than, say, the front wing. Lousy case you have there :s

I'm really confused!!!!

What's the difference between the hub and inner wheel.???

Either some of you are talking in Ron-speak or I'm looking for something that isn't there?????

What the hell, I'm not gonna bother anymore until someone within F1 makes a fuss.

This is an element of the Ferrari you'd only ever notice if you were up close to it when stationary. It is an inclined, partially curved fin (yellow arrow) near the inner front wheel. It helps improve the quality of airflow passing through the front suspension elements, as well as generating a small increase in downforce. Most importantly, however, it raises the efficiency of the bargeboards by reducing the vortices generated by the suspension's pushrod link and upper wishbone close to the front wheel. A small detail perhaps, but one that helps optimise the overall efficiency of the car.

The key part of the text says that there is a small fin near the inner wheel. Not attached to the inner wheel or wheel hub or anything else connected to the wheel. If you look at the picture you can see that the fin is mounted on an arm attached to the bottom of the chassis.
