Just watching BRC 1995 - commentator on the review said that the Semonite sisters were getting their first works drive in a Honda Civic - were Honda entered as a factory team? What about Ford, Proton and Peugeot were they factory teams?
So many manufacturer teams involved - why did they stop using F2 regulationsn

Because the teams (principally SEAT) wanted to use WRC cars. Unfortunately the bursting of the dotcom bubble meant the budgets disappeared and it has been all downhill since then.
