Is there any interest in a Motorsport Forums Deadpool Competition
You have to select 5 'celebrities' who you think are going to no longer be with us by the end of 2014
The rules can be varied to say that each selection must include at least one person under the age of 50, only one from any category such as actor, musician, writer, politician etc. and so on
If you are interested post here, especially if you have an existing set of rules for this type of game that have worked well elsewhere.
The scoring is usually deducting the persons age from 100 (the younger the deceased the more you score) and one of your selections can be nominated as a double score (when you have personal info from the Grim Reaper).

I predict that Generalissimo Francisco Franco although feeling much better will still be dead in 2014.

Add Lenin. Mao Tse Tung and Kim Il Jong to that list (maybe Tutankhamen too).
There is a conspiracy theory that Prince Philip has been replaced by a body double for months - he'll be on my list !

I wouldn't class any of them a 'celebrities' though some of them might be 'legends in their own lunchtime' !

I won't play. I'm bad enough as I am. I don't want to encourage that sort of wishful thinking.

Popes and former Prime Ministers tend to figure highly but since Maggie's demise the other former British PM's are alarmingly healthy

Does Bernie count as a sportsman, businessman, criminal (maybe) or what?

Definitely an animal rear end impersonator!! Safe to say he's a celeb but he's already got antifreeze coursing through his veins.

I think former president Mandela will be one of them if he survives the remaining 5-6 weeks of this year.
Then probably some old rockstar, the have a habit of dying a but unexpected and prematurely,

Sadly yes; the only surprise is that the great man is still with us today.

And while a cert, not worth many points.

Bruce Forsyth - probably the best bet of the bunch
Bernie E - Nah he'll live forever - that or he's a vampire so immortal.
The Queen (No treason here - But must be worth a few points) - Suppose so but I think she's got another 10 years yet!
Murray Walker - Sadly possible.
Ozzie Osborne - Dunno really.

I assume we are using this still as the chit chatty bit for the competition.

I am entering and am just reworking my entry.

So who else is entering?

Mintexmemory
29th November 2013, 20:04
Clearly there are a number of creaking gates that will be entered, if still going, late in December. I'm going to be putting in my initial pick soon but expect to update before the cut off date!!

Miley Cyrus.

And I plan on picking her every year until one of us is dead... or she fades into a trailerpark, sharing a shack with Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan.

Nearly one month gone and I assume no one has lost anyone yet?

Shame there weren't a few more entries, I only counted 5 I think.

I suddenly don't feel confident that any of my lot are going to croak.

Sadly I'm the first point scorer - 12 for Sir Jack (RIP) - a true gent.

Actually it was 32 points for Sir Jack plus the 10 bonus for first correct pick,- 42

I now have the second perch dropper - Ian Paisley, Age 88 so another 32 points taking me to 74 total.
