There is far too much of this going on. There are far too many crooks in office. There needs to be a uprising world wide.
In this country we should have a military coup and remove Washington and start over.

MADRID – Spanish prosecutors want to send a young pianist to jail for over seven years after a neighbor accused him of causing psychological damage and noise pollution.

The plaintiff — identified only as Sonia B — claims she suffered from noise contamination between 2003 and 2007 owing to the five-days-a-week, eight-hour practice sessions by Laia Martin, who lived below her in the northeastern town of Puigcerda.

Martin, 27, now a professional concert pianist, denies she played at home that often as she took regular classes in other towns.

El Pais newspaper said Sonia B. told the court Monday she now hated pianos and eventually moved house.

A Catalonia Justice Tribunal spokeswoman said the trial continued Tuesday and ends Nov. 15. She spoke on condition of anonymity because of tribunal regulations.

I consider to move to Spain. For years I was under the seige of the decibels from a club whose wall was stuck on my apartment.

Do it - if that's what the Second Amendment is for then it shows the best part of 80 years of cowardice on the part of the American people.

And if there are "too many crooks in office" then why pray tell do you as a nation continue to vote for the existing party machines? Clearly that's tacit permission for the crooks to get away with it or else, you'd have voted for someone else. And no, a "democratic right" not to vote doesn't change anything, that just shows complicit agreement with the status quo.

There was a revolution back in 1969, in case you missed it. Make love, not war, capitalist pigs, go away, hands off Vietnam and yadda-yadda. It actually won and produced the world class leaders like Billy Clinton and Tony Blair. Aren't you happy with what you have now?

As soon as law and order fall away, it doesn't matter how many guns you have, there would be chaos. Look at Africa boet, lots of guns and no law and order, civil war, coups and just general mayhem. You really wanna trade your comfortable lifestyle for that

OK something we can agree on: politicians are whores....but who are their customers? Who buys the politicians?
And what do they buy them with?
I don't buy and politicians, and I don't think you do...

Booting every elected person in the entire country is would be as effective as arresting every person selling their body on the street.. don't you think?

And the day after they're all booted, who/what is going to replace the politicians.?

"We Americans are so tired of being thought of as dumb asses by the rest of the world that we went to the polls this past November and removed all doubt."

Seriously though, Democracy has many problems one of which being that humans will always look after themselves first.

However as Churchill stated

Churchill's famous dictum: "Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time."

Its true.

Democracies come and go. It's just one of the possible mechanisms that a human society can choose to govern itself. It works under certain circumstances, but then it can fail miserably when circumstances change. There are other options, too.

The old saying suggests 'regardless of who wins the election, the Government always gets in'... Unfortunately we can go on about Revolutions but in reality the same old agenda's find their way into power. Some American's like to suggest they live in a free society, but no society in truly free unless it is governed by the people with no single party in charge at the top. This doesn't work however because you end up with an anarchic environment which slowly descends into civil war. We all need governance, and its about picking the best of a bad bunch in many cases. They are all out for themselves and it will always be the lower classes that lose out unless we adopt total socialism. The Labour government of the 1970's showed that in an evolving world of mass manufacture, much of the economy gets pushed abroad because we simply price ourselves out of the market. Unions running governments is never a good idea.
