Many drivers have vented their frustration and slow-reacting backmarkers

And...?

What's the secrecy in this? Can't really make it more public than this... :D

Give the guy a break... I'm sure there are other drivers with more of an attitude problem. :|

I can't think of many drivers who have not utilized the one digit salute (or similar) at some time.

Maybe in Spain they use middle finger to indicate number one! No offense to anyone.

Reminds me of the 2000 French GP. DC kept trying to overtake Schumi at the Melbourne hairpin and at one point DC gave the one-finger-salute. It was shown on live and the French director showed several replays of DC hands in extreme close-up! :D

Correct. He was being held up in traffic at the time, and was gesturing for the car in front to get out of the way. Nothing more than that.

Fernando isn't the only one who want's more room to his hands. :p :
Kimi and his finger's opinion to Scott Speed's driving line on friday.

to be honest. I am getting kind of tired of the drivers waving their hands at other cars, Kimi was guilty of that two and I think he flipped the bird at speed yesterday. Just show some class, keep your head steady and move on. do they think they should be given preferential treatment on Friday practice? :( give me a break!

Never given someone the finger on the road? Think how much more wound up a race driver is.
I am pretty laid back but I talked 'Italian' more than once on the track, especially if I had been held up for a lap or two. Being a little calculating as well, I made sure I did it on the start finish straight so the starter and race control could see my frustration. No TV. I don't think it ever worked but I did blow off some steam!

what possible finger related insult can Raikonnen throw at Speed that is more insulting that merely blowing him out of the water

I am not sure about Kimi, it looks a better job.

Thought Alonso's finger was taken from Bahrain, waving the hand for asking help-hand for more power on car. Btw not too bad, it didn't fail altogether.
