I got a response from mark and you have to go the http://www.motorsportforums.com/ url to get it work.
I had the old IP-adress url in my bookmark which was the reason to why it didn't work.
also Mark wrote that using Rallyforum.com also won't work.

You need to make sure you are logged into http://www.motorsportforums.com/ and not rallyforum.com or the IP address.

Mark - that's a real Hungarian rhapsody ;) 76 entries compared to the usual 100, with time to add still, when many can't get to the overall win from their current positions (including me!!) shows the fun people get out of prediction. I shall be glued to the PC over this weekend.
