Not strictly F1 news I admit, but still relevant:

Silverstone, the home of British motor racing, has been sold - raising the prospect of a new business and technology park being built beside the famous circuit, The Independent has learnt.
The identity of the buyer of the Northamptonshire race track, which is home to the Formula One British Grand Prix, is unknown, but is believed to be a real estate firm.

Exclusive: Silverstone sold - paving way for redevelopment at home of British Grand Prix - Motor Racing - Sport - The Independent (http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/motor-racing/exclusive-silverstone-sold--paving-way-for-redevelopment-at-home-of-british-grand-prix-8771357.html)

Might actually see this masterplan progressing.

Now, what is Mr Silverstone going to do with all that money?

Silverstone haven't sold out - only a leasehold for property development to turn it into a technology park.

Still, most of the money is likely to end up in Bernie's retirement fund, sorry, CVC's coffers.

As I understand Silverstone is owned by the BRDC which is a non-profit organisation?
