Head of German Motorsport Council DMSB and FIA VicePresident Mr. Tomczyk promised participants of German Rally Championship to be part of WRC Round of Germany. Inclusive Group GT that will get a special permit from FIA.

So how ever wants to start with a GT in WRC, just join German Rally Championship HERE: http://www.dmsb.de/downloads/473/DRM_Einschreibung_2007.pdf for just 50 Euros and get a special permit as well... Good luck!

I really hope the Belgian 350Z and the Aston Martin of Sarrazin join the Porsches....it would be a great class to watch then.

That's great news :) I can't wait to see them in action.

I wonder how their performance will compare to WRC/S2000/Group N/S1600?

Inclusive Group GT that will get a special permit from FIA.

Special permit to use the same route while WRC event is being run there, yes. But not to be included in the overall classification but as a separate, much like Vetomies (national Group F) in 1000 Lakes.

They promised participation within the same starting field. But right, they might leaned out of the window a bit too much. DMSB announced trying to get a special permit from the FIA for the (2) GT's inscribed to the German Championship. Thats why it could be worth beeing part of it as well...

It wouldn't make sense to follow after 30 WRC, 20 S1600, 30 national starters, the red flag and another 3 "0" cars.

Yes, GT cars will be allowed in the European Championship in 2008.

But is it really a good idea? You buy a car that is more expensive than a WRC, but it's not good enough to even finish the rally in top 10...

By the way, Toni Gardemeister will drive Nissan 350Z in Mille Miglia Rally, the opening round of European Rally Championship.

I think a lot of spectators prefer to see GT's on WRCs..
And no it's not fast.. But maybe a cup would do good?

Would be fun to drive the GT cars though

German DMSB did not ask FIA to permit partizipation of GT`s in Germany. These 2 cars should now follow the rally in a national reserved part a few minutes after the last N2 Suzuki. Rumors mean they allready defeated in thanks...

GT's cars are way cheaper that a WRC car - a gt car would cost the same as a good gp n car
