Hi All,

I thought, let me introduce myself here.
I hope that I don't break any forum rule...

Well, I'm Rik de Graaff, 20 years and live in Holland.
My passion are computers.
I also like watching Formula 1 Grand Prixes (or how you spell it).

I don't follow it minute after minute, but more a casual watcher.
If I see it on TV, I stop zapping, but it not that I set an alarm for a Grand Prix.
That maybe comes. :D

Well, maybe can you guys get me better informed in the Motorsports.
Oh, and also I like the Superbike series, but I can't watch that, because it is not broadcast on the Dutch TV (tell me if I'm wrong...).

Well this is a load of info, so thanks for reading.
I hope on a nice stay here.

Greetings, Rik

Hi Mark, yes I like cycles, especially Motorcycles, haha.

And EightGear, thank you for the hint!
I go take a look in their program guide when I can watch Superbikes ;)

Greetings, Rik

Welcome to the nut house. Anyone that likes F1 and Superbike can't be all that bad! :)

What is your interest in computers? Programmer, power user, etc?

Hi airshifter, I started 17 years ago as a kid with DOS games.
Like inserting the 3.5" floppy and then type "start.exe".

Ow that was a good time!
But now I'm a Programmer, Gamer and Overclocker ;)

So I'm an "all-rounder".
And thanks for your message!

Greets, Rik

Never got much into programming except in my very early days of computers, but am more than familiar with the DOS days. I sometimes long for using dip switches on hardware to assign software interrupts. :)

Our gaming is now done on consoles, thus I haven't really been a "power user" in the PC world for quite some time. Back when I was running CAD type systems on lesser machines I had no choice, and the "power" upgrades were constant.

As for overclocking, I think my first system that was overclocked was my first own PC, a 486SX25. After that just about every rig that would tolerate it eventually got tested. Being that my current aging system was being overworked, it's running a bit over stock as well. I might test some limits on this processor once the upgrade hardware is in hand, just to see what it could be pushed to. :)
