I didn't say he had a contract for F1 did I?
Someone had posted a link to F1 photos before Monaco with him in the Ferrari colours. I thought some kind of promo might be coming up.
First picture here. Surprised no one caught on before now.

Wow, what a life.

Didn't Kobay also race for Ferrari in sports cars recently too?

I rather had hoped that Ferrari would have picked up Kamui to replace Felipe Massa but I fear that they did not because Kamui would have outshone Fernando Alonso. Kamui is then probably a victim of his own talent. He is too good to sit in a second class seat but also too good to sit alongside someone who thinks that they can win the World Driver's Championship and in a sport where the drivers have egos the size of a central European republic, that counts for a lot.

It's kind of weird to quote my own blog but, I still agree with myself :D
Kobayashi shouldn't have been simply allowed to leave F1 so easily. I hope that Ferrari puts him in that seat post haste because I'm sure that Koba in a Ferrari would be a better combination than Massa in the same car. I think that had Koba been in that seat, he would have scored a victory by now; instead of a best result of third which Massa has achieved.

He races 458s in WEC.

I think he is about the same level as Massa is at now. He's been hyped up way too much by some fans and much based on him being a racer and in some ways a bit like with JPM.

I have to agree with Wedge, replacing Massa with Koby would be a lateral move, although I think he could round into an excellent replacement. :bulb:

Kamui is definitely worthy of a Formula 1 seat, and I suspect he will return one day.
