Sorry this may be a boring topic but does anyone here have any interesting and unique hobbies, well interesting may be a stretch, just something a bit different to like playing an instrument etc. I suppose its down to you what you different interesting and unique.

Will history research qualify as a unique hobby?

My wife would opine that chatting with complete strangers online is a "unique hobby."

Mrs schmenke calls it a "sad fixation" :p :

Madame Mintex (in sarcastic tones) always asks 'Chatting to your little chums again?'

The wifey yells from across the house: "Are ya on a thread?" or, she will actually take the time to walk up to the screen, adopt the voice of a 4 year-old (with a lisp) and start reading my post back to me.

My gosh I love that woman!

I wonder how would my boss act if he saw the stuff that I post plus Roamy's rants and BDunnell's trademark pontification. ;)

Some say pontification, others that he is charitable in sharing his wisdom.

I'm sure you'll grow in his eyes because your posts are serious.

I don't have problems with mine cos he doesn't know english. But there's a colleague next to me who under the pretext he doesn't understand some papers keeps approaching and peeping on my screen.

I get quite a bit of stick for it too lol. When I installed Tapatalk on my phone she told me to 'get a life'. :)

Based on the posts so far, none of the rest of you do either.

What might be unique to one person may not be unique to others !
My partner says I spend far too much time looking at "That square screen"

Kinda weird because a unique hobby = eccentricity.

And some of you definitely aren't normal.

Takes one to know one!

I have been a Warhammer 40k player, a cricketer and a road rally navigator - all of which might be said to reveal certain levels of eccentricity.
What I'd really like to try is freestyle taxidermy

I'm quite a good ( at least that's what my friends say ) fortune teller in playing cards. But that's not a unique hobby.

I'm normal, it's just everybody else who isn't. :andrea:

When i gave up driving on rallies a few years ago [ I still spend a lot of time working on the cars ] , I took up metal detecting .
Very different , but still quite exciting to pull a coin out of the ground & know that it has been there & nobody has seen it for sometimes 2000 years . The fact that it can be valuable is secondary .

I have a snake, a gecko, 2 turtles and 2 salamanders to care for as a hobby, is that unique enough? ;)

I have no any unique hobbies.
I am more interested in football, and adventurous movies.
You can consider them as my hobbies.
