Sad news. DC's 35 year old sister has been found dead at her home in Scotland.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the home of 35 year-old Lynsay Jackson this morning.

Mrs Jackson ran the David Coulthard Museum in Twynholm. She is survived by her husband, Will, and eight month old daughter Emily.

Her mother and father Joyce and Duncan Coulthard are flying home from Australia where they are on holiday. The news was broken to them early this morning and to brother David who was appearing live on cook programme on TV – it is believed the news was broken to him after show.

Sad but hardly relevant to F1 is it?

I wanted to say something similar but couldn't. Have a real soft spot for DC and have always found him a very genuine person.

Everyone goes through difficult times so all I will say is my best wishes during this difficult time to a genuine man but equally, my thoughts reach out to Lynsay, Will, their young Daughter, Duncan and Joyce.

Sometimes, it's not about F1 but humanity.

I believe all the mods are fans as well as the forum staasi ;)
Max could have used more temperate language but hey, he's welsh so the fact he is writing english means he'll get some slack cut.
For myself, DC is one of the few modern F1 drivers I have seen actually engage with the fans and spend time posing for picks and signing more than is required by the PR schedule. I've always had a huge soft spot for him
I join the others in this thread in sending the Coulthard family my condolences.
However, can I ask that we educate rather than castigate (tempting as it might be) the ignorant in future

Sorry, but I thought the same thing as Natalie.

It is undoubtedly tragic news.

Personally I think its best left for friends and family to grieve privately.

That's all fair enough Wedge but DC is still a member of the paddock with many fans. Sure its a personal family matter for David, but its still a relevant topic for discussion throughout the Formula 1 community and many who respect him will pass on their respects. I don't think fans should be so cold just because they'd rather not see it as a topic on their beloved forum. If its not relevant to them then they shouldn't go in to the thread and comment as its a touch hypocritical IMO.

Very sad, especially considering her age. So young still.

My heart went bang at 32, and I was super lean and the fittest I'd ever been. I was hospitalised a week after racing on the oval at Rockingham. I had been ill during the race and was not aware. I am so glad it didn't go on the race track I could've hurt someone.

Also Diolch n Fawr for the support, from those regarding my comment.
