Yeah saw this a year ago, loved it... I was disappointed that he never mentioned the digital age in Scalextric and slot cars. If it wasn't for digital slot cars, I would never had got back into it. I know it's not really the topic of James May's record breaking event in the documentary, but it would have taken only an extra 20 seconds to explain the advances of slot car in the last 15 years.

Truely awesome track! There was a post on a previous thread some time ago from a forum member who had made their own scalextric diarama, based on Monte Carlo if I remeber correctly (is anyone able to confirm/deny this?).

My son is keen as about these little things and we may get a basic set for a birthday, soon.

Anyone with tips for new scalextric players?
