Local Church hosts road safety event
With nearly 40 deaths on our roads in Northern Ireland this year, local church youth group, Knockconny Baptist have realised the risks posed to their young people, and the wider public whilst out motoring.
They have organised a special night entitled “MOTOR MADNESS” to be held in the church grounds, on the old Ballygawley/Dungannon road, on Saturday 25th November 2012 at 8pm. This event coincides with road safety week which runs from 19th – 25th November 2012.
Local man Stanley Ballantine will be bringing along his Mitsubushi Evo Rally car, and there will a selection of other cars and motorbikes on display.
As well as inspecting the motors on show, there will be an opportunity for everyone to take part, on the adult pedal karts, the remote control car race track, or beating the opposition on the PS3.
Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue service will be carrying out an action-packed live crash rescue demonstration guaranteed to make you think about how you or your friends drive.
John Wilson will be along to share what God has done in his life, and how he thinks you can ensure you are on the right road.
There will also be a FREE BBQ throughout the night.
