View Full Version : Picture size reduction app?

Hi, I am showing my tech illiteracy here, but I wanted to start a thread and post a picture in it, but all my pics are oversize. The "insert image" button will only allow 620 x 280 size pics to be inserted. I have tried Picasa, and the various photo viewer software in my laptop, but to no avail.

Can any of you suggest an app that will accurately reduce picture size so I can get cracking?

Cheers, Simon.

Almost any drawing programme will do it - if you've got a Windows PC you've probably already got Paint, which is extremely basic but would get the job done (Image -> Resize, or CTRL+W).

I personally use FastStone Viewer, which has a myriad of editing options including resize, cropping, DPI changes, watermarks and much more; and can also batch process if you need to edit multiple pictures.

I used gimp (http://www.gimp.org/) so far, but FastStone looks nice so I'll give it a go too now

If you are using Windows you don't even need paint. Double clock a picture in file manager and it will open in a photo viewer application (not an app, apps are only for phones ;) ). You can resize from there.

for windows try this one: VSO Image Resizer, Resize Pictures, Image Converter, Photo Resizer Light (http://www.obviousidea.com/windows-software/light-image-resizer/)

just use the existing program of windows "paint" and change the size of the picture via changing the percentage of it...

I like it how with Tapatalk there is no resizing necessary.
Of course this means that the picture has to be sent via your phone.
I find it very convenient.
