are you guys playing with steering wheel and what difficult setup do you use?
I play the demo with every helpsetting off and heavy damage and play on ps3 with handcontrol :/ Im waiting for the pc realise, then it's on! :P

Same! I'm playing PS3, no assists etc and couldn't reach 4:10 however many times I tried the stage, let alone 4:03.

Update: Found a bit more pace on La Mussara, but I could only squeeze another 2 seconds at most even if I did a perfect stage - still leaving me 17s off the lead haha! Got a much smoother run on the shorter stage too, but not going to find much more than a tenth here or there.

The first section is absolutely flat out up until the hairpin right into hairpin left ;)

The way I balance a slide just doesn't work right with a wheel, it's all too slow to go from lock to lock.

Perhaps not always the fastest but for the best racing experience I prefer the wheel.
Especially in rallying and WRC 3..works really good :)

You'll manage some better times, as long as you get used to the new handling.
My first time was 4:35.00 and I am at 4:19.33 at the moment! The more you play, the better It gets.

Thanks pal. Not making exuses or anything but I wonder how much diference the car makes? I have spent awhile setting up the JCW in WRC2 in a way I really like, I do not ever use the ds3 and I am unused to how it handels. I amk sure I will improve (I have turned off all the assist but I have not had a lot of free time to adapt to the new game).

I really love WRC3 so far. In factI think it has pwned Dirt 3! Codeis should make the next game based on IRC as they probably wont be able to have as strong WRc flavour in the next game.

PS3 controller for me too. I haven't played WRC2 (after being disappointed with the first game I decided to let them get on with it, especially when I learnt that the stage design wasn't being changed), so perhaps that helps. The key to WRC3 is trying to be smooth, make sure that you brake in a straight line on the tarmac (although as the really quick guys say the majority of tarmac is apparently flat out). Learning the stage is also key to getting quicker, even though the pace notes are actually quite accurate in this game.

Struggling to keep it smooth and steady on tarmac,especially during breaking.
And definitely not flat out in the first part.
Comparing my video with the below 4 min videos you clearly see the difference.
Turned on assists and after a couple runs I was down to 4.01.xx and the replay video looked smooth
and the car almost turned into the corners by itself..
Almost flat out..

Dont take this the wrong way but are you guys really using No assists ?
