I don't mind the boy having fun, but in return for what he gets from us, the taxpayers, he should be more discreet about it.

Incidentally, playing his version of pool, how does he play the shots where you have to stretch over the table?

I guess you have no options left but to teabag the side cushions...

I am amazed that anyone could bring themselves to care about this.

Jeebus - if I was prince I would be rooting my brains out!

Jeebus - if I was prince I would be rooting my brains out!

Everything I've read about Edward VII suggests that he did precisely that. His older brother Albert Victor who would have been king, died of pneumonia in 1892, leaving him as the new heir apparent.

There's a list of all the ladies he is supposed to have bedded here:
Anthony J. Camp - Nos. 25-29 (http://anthonyjcamp.com/page9.htm)
One of then Alice Keppel, was the great-grandmother of Camilla Parker Bowles.

Maybe you would be "rooting your brains out" but if I'd been in such a position, I would prefer to do something useful, like medical research or some such.

That's very noble of you, Rollo.

Dear gawd, son think! The two things are not mutually exclusive. There's a time and place for everything and rooting your brains out refreshes and reinvigorates both the rooter and the rootee. I myself have assisted a brilliant researcher who often had severe writer's block in her very serious writing in overcoming this writer's block by taking a break for a little hour or two of R&R...it worked every time! You could take that to me rest and reinvorgoration, but you could imagine to be recreation and rooting.
Shirley I could not comment.. :D

Worshipers of those freeloading bouffons deserve what is giving to them.

Today marked a big step towards the end of press self-regulation over here. Yesterday all the British newspapers refused to print the pictures, saying they respected the wishes of the palace. The truth was more a nod to the fact that the Leveson enquiry has yet to recommend what actions should be taken to clean up the press. By demonstrating that they could self-regulate even when faced with a juicy royal story they would show that a change in the law would be unnecessary. Today, The Sun destroyed that trust in the pursuit of money. Idiots.

I guess the issue is who's paying for hotel suites and escort services ;)

Exactly! The ridiculous attention allowed for this nonsense shows the purveyors of this pseudo scandal as more reprehensible for their vacuousness than anything Harry has done.

The poor basta*d (puns intended :andrea: ) can't trust anybody :dozey:

At least this time he had the decency to take his dodgy costume off before the pics were taken :p

Apparently the hotel owner paid for Harry's holiday so we can all relax. We can't cry over our taxes on this one!! :p

He sure got enough exposure out of it, good investment!

Boris Johnson said it best I think, in this piece on the BBC:

"I think it'd be disgraceful if a chap wasn't allowed to have a bit of fun in Las Vegas. The real scandal would be if you went all the way to Las Vegas and you didn't misbehave in some trivial way."

You can do medical research and stil root your brains out.
