Correct. It is Red Bull produced. All countries get the version with Paul King but the commentators different depending on language.

But if one country like Russia for axample can cut and add in extra stories or coverage. Or Finnish for Finland and MTV. But they don't make the video. Red Bull Media does.

I've been "studying" these videos. Noticed that Loeb is way faster than others to get out from a hearspin.
He comes in undertearing and doesn't let the car go overstearing. Accseleration is in control, front tyres are streight.
Ogier cames the same, but often let's the car slide when starts to accelerate. Front tyres are opposite to the sideway.
Bouffier is the same as Ogier, but lets the car slide less.
Jari-Matti comes all sideways to the hearspin and leaves sideways.

Have to "study" more about Mikko, Dani and Juho.

very true about Loeb-Ogier-Latvala.Same happens at gravel rallies.Mikko seems to adapt his style to Loebs vs previous years.Dani the same style almost like Loeb.Hanninen more sideways specially at corner exit.
its very impressive how Loeb manages to have almost always straight steering at corners exit at these circumstances(ise-snow) something=faster at gas pedal at exits.

Must have something to do with Citroen's diffs. I think it is easier this driving style and Hirvonen had to learn last year to change his driving style according to this car's behavior.

Mikko said in Vauhdin Maailma's interview that he has practised tarmac driving in stages and in a track with a circuit racer, but he learn the most about tarmac driving last year by watching the data from Loebs car.
They have the same "taste" to set up a car.

Ogier said : "I can be much quicker" - so easy run for him :) (despite on the videos photos we can see lot of small mistakes)

it is hard to adapt the rythm if you are not pushing a bit more than taking easy. mostly because of braking points, you brake too early, not enough momentum for the turn, and if you are slower than your pacenote, you want to brake a bit later. than your pacenote doesnt suit the turn.. ect ect..

Citroen has a purpose-designed engine.

About the engine from 5:28

WRC - Citroën DS3 WRC - La genèse - The story (English subtitles) - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vB5YFONFJEY&feature=player_embedded)

i heard somewhere (i'd love to remember where :( ) fiesta WRC engine is a downsized s2000 2.0L engine., is it still purpose built? well ofcourse it is racing engine, i did not mean that. i mean is all those engines of WRC, has no relation to road going versions? are the like, F1 engines?

That was in 2.0 NA S2000 regulations. 1.6T S2000 (WRC) regulations allow to build a "world engine" from scratch like in WTCC.

interesting info, thanks.

We'll see, I have no idea. Prokop said they did very good job improving their asphalt tyres but unfortunately nobody expected to do whole MRC on wide snow tyres which are normally useful only for one event in the season...

So, the wetaher looks like 4 studs for Turini, then 2 supersofts and 2 studs for next stage and 4 studs for Turini again. Temperature at 900m is around +1 at the moment. That means 0 degrees at around 1100m. Currently snow aind rainfall should get heavier.

Mikko has said when he has compared data from his and Loeb’s driving that he is coming to fast into corners.

I once saw a animation comparing Loeb’s and Marcus breaking on tarmac (WRC was on Eurosport). Marcus had one long breaking but Loeb had several short breakings probably to have optimum speed entering the corner.

Isn’t said that slow in and fast out.

It's not. Fiesta WRC engine is based on modern stock 1.6 Eco Boost engine. Mini engine is also production based (PSA/BMW EP6CDT). I think that Citroën and VW uses purpose built racing units however I'm not sure about VW.

It's not. Fiesta WRC engine is based on modern stock 1.6 Eco Boost engine. Mini engine is also production based (PSA/BMW EP6CDT). I think that Citroën and VW uses purpose built racing units however I'm not sure about VW.

Fiesta block is old downsized 2,0 Duratec, only cylinder head is purpose built for motorsport use.

Why should they do that?

Mikko is regarded as the main title contender for Citroen this season. Sordo is quicker on asphalt and Mikko is quicker on gravel and there are more gravel rounds so in theory at least Mikko has a better chance. Also when Loeb is present Sordo is not nominated. But it all depends on what it says in Sordo's contract.

To me it seems like it is a bit early to play team orders.

If Sordo isn't nominated for manu points, he can't steal manu points from Hirvonen. The Finn should bring 15 points to Citroen even in this position.

You're right actually :) So we go back to "privileged Hirvonen" the whole season long

So SS17-18 Will run at what time? LATE? Delayed? I will have to wake up at 4am to follow the rally here in Australia!

Loeb will start at 1737, Ogier at 1739. No Novikov, Latvala or Hänninen: Sordo starts 1740, Hirvonen 1744, Østberg 1748...

Sordo is nominated for Abu Dhabi Citroën. There's the problem.

Loeb, Sordo and Hirvonen are statistically one of the most reliable drivers regardless the car they used. JML and Novikov are on the opposite side of the statistic tables...

Latvala, Novikov, Neuville are crash prone, it's not the cars. Citroen chose the more reliable drivers.
