Probably the worst timing possible for Bernie, the Germans may either prosecute him for bribing or negotiate an agreement with him that would result in an admission of bribery and a fine. Either way it would not be good for the flotation of F1.
Also, Bernie has avoided paying tax by claiming that the Bambino fund is not owned or controlled by him, but IIRC the money he paid to Gribowsky went through this fund. HMRC might start asking how this is possible if he doesn't have anything to do with Bambino and he might be liable for a hefty tax bill if they find otherwise....

Not sure which scenario actually makes Bernie look like more of a tax dodger: the Banker's claim that he received a bribe from Bernie, meaning Bernie has control of the Bambino fund; or Bernie's claim that he was blackmailed by the banker, meaning it was worth $44m to Bernie and the fund to avoid attracting the attention of the tax authorities.
