"What are you listening to" seems to be a popular thread, so I decided to start a thread called "What are you looking at". I'm looking at the "Post New Thread" page of the Motorsport Forums.

It's simple: R cos(x+a) = R cos a cos x - R sin a sin x

so you need R cos a = 2, R sin a = 5; if you square both equalities you get
R^2=29, so R=sqrt(29). And then, from the first of the two equations, you solve for a to get a = arccos(2/sqrt(29)). So

2 cos x - 5 sin x = sqrt(29) cos (x + arccos(2/sqrt(29)))

Looking at the rain outside, and all the busy nursing, medical and pharmacy students in the computer lab at the medical school, and thinking about how I should be doing my assignment right now instead of posting on the forum...

What a funny thread. stevie gerrard is looking at yesterdays newspaper and yet still seems to have the ability to read this without looking?

John Brow can do his maths homework whilst typing on HIS computer.

I find the abilities of these people amazing! Me? I'm looking at my computer screen and my keyboard while I type...

Yep, I'm a two fingered typist, can't look at the screen whilst I'm typing.
Prior to this I was looking at my most recent credit card statement, thinking how much did I spend? Maybe ebay bidding whilst under the influence of alcohol is not a good thing........ going to end up with lots of cool number plates though!!!!!!!

Isn't math brilliant? :)
If I wasn't an engineering major, I'd love just studying math...

I'm looking at this while waiting for an e-mail from someone to tell me that something has been done that will allow me to do something that will then enable someone else to do something.......

Ahhh! don't computers make our life easier? (Answers on a postcard please 'cos I'm sick of staring at screens!) (My own answer is... not for those of us involved in testing the bl**dy software!) :grenade:

Why's your cat's name Cosworth? Just 'cos he's worth it?

Why's your cat's name Cosworth? Just 'cos he's worth it?

Coz I never thought that I would be able to own a Cosworth!

It's interesting to do a search on Cosworth as a pet's name, there are more sad cases like me out there!

I now actually own 2 Cosworths (Escort Cosworths), 3 including the cat, didn't mean to end up that way, thought I could make some money on one of the Escorts seeing that there are only about 14 in Australia. Should have known better, one is evil, I'm thinking of getting the number plate EVL-666 (or DVL-666) for it. It is possessed, I tell you!!!!

It's simple: R cos(x+a) = R cos a cos x - R sin a sin x

I knew as soon as you said "It's simple" that it wouldnt be. I couldnt even do that if someone told me how to do it! :s

Me, waiting for a message from someone on myspace ... what an exciting life i lead ... not
