Hi Guys

I had my first NASCAR experience this weekend at Bristol. It will not be my last!

The track is amazing, the noise is unbelievable, the weather was great and the fans are the friendliest I have ever met.

I took quite a few pictures which have been split into Saturday and Sunday galleries - just click the webshots link below.

I have also added a few videos on YouTube.

One last thing, for anyone who was at the Speed TV stage area in the Morning on Sunday, I was the guy from England who bagged the T-Shirt for travelling the farthest for the race!

Enjoy the pictures and vids,

Regards

Richard.

There's nothing like a race at Bristol, feels like if you lean forward to far you're going to fall onto the track.

Unfortunately the vids are very poor quality on youtube. They are fine on my camera and PC but not once converted.

Richard,

I enjoyed your pictures. Thanks for posting them. One thing on the COT. When I first saw the thumbnails, I thought, "these are from the truck race" then I realized it was the cup race. The cars are definitely boxier, not bad, just different.

Hi Alexamateo, I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures.

I was slightly apprehensive when i heard that the first CoT race was at Bristol, especially when the first pictures of the cars were released - man were they ugly machines! The cars, when fully liveried look great.

I agree that the wing does make them look a bit truck like on some of the pics, but this isn't the case in real life.

The cars are boxier, especially the front end. Overall the racing was typically Bristol.

Regards

Richard.
