Pulling for Tony to win, but Edwards may have the edge because Roush is so good here and Carl won this race last year. Also, Carl has been very consistent, while Tony has occasionally been out to lunch set-up wise. We'll just have to watch and see. :)

Showed up this morning to pick up my Credentials. Looked up at the sky and went home! I knew today was going to be a wash out

Round 1 goes to Carl, who not only wins the pole (and an excellent shot at leading a lap right off the bat), but also has all three of his teammates (Kenseth, Biffle, & Ragan) starting between him and Tony.

I'll bet Tony feels like this guy right now. --> :s

I think all the pressure is on Carl since he's the no-brainer favorite. Tony is as cool as a cucumber because he already has two championship trophies and has nothing to prove. I'd rather be in Tony's shoes right now.

Holy Smoke!

Congrats to Tony Stewart, Darian Grubb and the rest of the #14 crew. Coming through adversity, huge fuel mileage gamble.

No disrespect to Cousin Carl, he gave a heck of a fight in the Chase but he right guy won.

Eat it, Kulwicki!

thats really farce, Kulwicki did it on his own, he didnt buy an already existing team

Impressive win. Stewart backed into the chase without a win and won half of the chase races. Talk about peaking.

Kulwicki bought Bill Terry's team.

And Tony didn't technically "buy" into the team. Haas gave him half the team because he couldn't afford Tony's salary.

When Tony left Richmond he was 9th in the point standings. His Chicago win bumped him up to the 2nd spot and 7 points out of the lead. That may have been the point when he realized that he and his team could do this and take a shot at the big trophy.

Nobody else on the driver roster had five wins this season let alone five just in the Chase. The #14 team didn't have an easy incident free race today. They bounced back from adversity and went home with the the big prize. It will be nice to see somebody other than the #48 team sitting at the main table on stage at Las Vegas.

No one seems to be talking about it but I think its really cool how Tony now has the "Triple Crown" Winston,Nextel, and Sprint Cups.

Tony drove his ass off. That was perhaps the finest bit of driving I have ever seen.

Not to be persnickety, but if Tony forgoes a salary for a period of time in exchange for ownership shares, he is using money owed to him to buy the team. It matters not if he actually wrote a check or not.

In the mid-60's, my dad was in the grocery business with his uncle, they drew small salaries and split profits at the end of the year. My dad took all the profits for 2-3 years and built our house with cash, he then paid his uncle back by foregoing his share of the profits for 2-3 years to pay him back. He paid his uncle back even though he never actually wrote him a check.

Oh and Congrats to Tony, That was an incredible 10 race run!

You make it sound like Tony is just the "driver". From what I've seen, Tony is truly the "owner" of the team, in that he seems to make most of the decisions on how the team is run. Haas seems to be just a $ilent partner.

I thought the race was exciting. Congrats to Tony Stewart for the win and the Series Champion. He deserved the title after winning 5 of the chase races. It would of been nice to see Carl Edwards win his first one though.

The Nationwide race was good until the last 15 laps when unfortunately Danica Patrick hit the wall and caused her to not be able to finish the race. Not a way I wanted to see her end the season but I look for her to be very strong next year and in victory lane.
